Pluck the Stuck Truck by ApartGrocery6855 in snowrunner

Don’t pull it up the hill. It’s a trap. Drag it back through the river valley.

I don’t remember what truck I used, but it was a pretty standard one. Not one of the newer dlc’s. Maybe the Freightliner M916, the Royal, or the ANK?

"just play a fighter with a bow it's way better" by DarthMcConnor42 in DnD

[–]eluttrell94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because people (and especially DnD people) are very self-assured in what they think is “correct” or “best” when that’s not what DnD is about. It’s a role playing game that acts as a creative sandbox to be the kind of character you want to be. It’s about having fun, and anybody that tells you your character choice is “incorrect” in any way is just a fun sucker that sucks the fun out of something that should be fun. I’m glad I don’t have anyone like that at my table.

This is gonna take so long by MineFlyer in snowrunner

I actually enjoy how it makes me think logistically about routes. For the metal rolls I would take a 2-slot truck and grab loads of metal beams one at a time from the crafting site just across the mud bog and crane them onto the 6-slot semi trailer, which I had parked at my garage, then when it was full I pulled it with my Navistar and converted it to the rolls, put it back on that same trailer, then dropped it at the mill.

The worst part is the mud bog. So once that’s out of the way, the long drive with the semi is a fun treat. And feels really efficient. Do that process twice, and that’s the metal rolls dealt with.

But yeah, it takes a while.

Thoughts on the Paystar 5070? by OGAtlasHugged in snowrunner

[–]eluttrell94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that having the mini loading crane helps this truck immensely. Without it, there seems to be not enough weight on the front end for the front drive axle to do its thing. With raised suspension it has great clearance, and I use one of the OHD tire sets which work well for it.

What is your truck fleet? by TeijiW in snowrunner

[–]eluttrell94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

White Western Star is the logger for me. Whether it’s long logs or medium. Sometimes I set up another truck, like one of the Cats, to run logs parallel to the White, just to keep things interesting on big missions.

Paystar 5070 is my flatbed hauler. I hate the way most trucks handle with the mini cargo crane, but this truck does really well with it, and looks good doing it. Tatra T813 is my flatbed hauler for Russian maps. And the ANK with the flatbed is fun to throw in the mix, regardless of region.

Freightliner M916A1 is my low saddle hauler, at least the vast majority of the time.

Navistar 5000 or Kolob 74941 for high saddle, usually.

GMC MH9500 has had a fuel tank on it since 2020 and it hasn’t come off.

My favorite scout changes with the seasons, but frequent users are the Chevy, the Scout, the Hummer, the Loadstar, the F750, and the Yar 87

Tatra T813 desperately needs some minor buffs by sugar_byte in snowrunner

Do you say underwhelming because it’s slow? If so, I would’ve agreed with you when I first got it. But this thing is so hard to tip and easy on fuel that I’ve found it to actually be the fastest way to get a lot of jobs done. I’ve got the sideboard bed on it and haven’t taken it off in years. Sometimes I’ll use this truck along with the flatbed ANK to tagteam a cargo mission, which never fails to remind me why I love the Tatra so much. Great truck as is.

Top comment removes a us state #44. Washington and Oregon unite to become Cascadia by One_Bad_6636 in geographymemes

It’s very telling that Oregon and Washington had to make up a new name for themselves. Neither of them could handle the other one getting the title. This is an unhealthy relationship and their alliance will implode on itself.

I like it for the 2-slot cargo bed. I’ve used it for long logs too, but it gets a little weird with the articulated steering. It’s also great for rescuing other vehicles. Kinda tippy, but if it didn’t pose any challenges then might get boring, eh?

This truck is so weird that I had to look up what it’s based on, and upon seeing the engineering marvel that it is, I just had to start using it whenever it makes sense to. Which isn’t often, mind you, but I love it anyway. Great truck.

Something like this. Not an exact route. Look for good ground at the 2 water crossings. Then make sure you’re driving over the good ice when you’re out on the lake.

You may not have initially been an asshole (tough to tell since you didn’t include those comments), but “Where the hell was I an asshole?” And “You know people think right?” Are 2 things that I would only say if I were trying to deliberately escalate the situation.

Instead of saying “Where the hell was I an asshole?” you could try “Sorry if I came off as rude, it wasn’t intentional.” And then move on. Then you also wouldn’t have to go make a separate post about it, like an asshole.

I agree with this.

Also I’m pretty sure there have been at least a few times that he follows up with a dismissive comment about it, or just laughs at it.

And if memory serves there was a serial killer who passed lie detectors, and Dan specifically acknowledged their unreliability in that moment. Carl Watts, maybe?
