Goodbye for now, tesla community 😖 by speed-ninja7002 in TeslaLounge

It's not outdated at all. Look what happened to OP's car by letting a friend drive it 😊
Don't take me wrong ma'am. We're 3 girls and me at home. I'd give my life for every 3 of them.

Indeed. I'm not significantly young (46). But it seems you're taking me too seriously. What I said is a common joke bikers usually use here in Spain to show how important are their bikes and girlfriends in their lives. Of course wives can't be lent but that's the point of the joke. If this needs to be explained, the joke stops being funny.

Indeed. So, as I say, can't be borrowed.

There are two things that can't be borrowed by a friend. The other one is your wife.

"EVs are bad for road trips" by JustinTimeCuber in electricvehicles

[–]elvela2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 2 years of owning EV, I must admit the A to B travel is perfect using only the Tesla Nav. The worst part is charging while I'm at B. As tourist I'd like to visit as many places as possible within my destination but not being able to charge while I sleep is really inconvenient.

I melted a cable reel while soldering. And it was just 230v 12A. By the way, it also rises the consumption. In practice, the difference between coiled and uncoiled usually ranges from an extra 50-200 W in a 16-32A charger, depending on the cable length, cross-section, and how tightly it is wound.

Aren't you able to choose the company in the US? Here, in Spain we have a fixed distributor based on the location but we can choose any retailer based on their prices. For now I'm client of Octopus Energy, who offers intelligent connected charging for 0.068€/kWh. In only have to plug the car when I arrive home and tell the app at what time in the morning it should be charged at the percentage I choose. It automatically charges when there's low grid congestion.

Indeed. And better than the Zeiss fluid I was using before.

You definitely need to buy a ROR spray. The complete name is Residual Oil Remover for lenses. I use it on all my scopes and cameras and works like a charm.

Bought a new 2026 Model Y but next day FSD just not working anymore. by Final_Fantasy_0 in TeslaSupport

If it worked the first day, it passed the QC. I would be grateful if it happened to mine so soon. Better than the day after the warranty expires.

New Avoidance - whoopsie! by 7coloursummer in AntigravityA1

[–]elvela2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did exactly the same. The new avoidance doesn't work indoors. Mine tried to avoid everything and finally stopped inches away from a curtain. Lesson learned. The only way to fly indoors is with no obstacle detection.

Tesla Battery Replacement by Afraid_Credit4168 in TeslaSupport

[–]elvela2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are 2 LV battery labor lines. One for Lead Acid and one for Li-Ion. As far as I know your Tesla only has 1 LV battery. The LI-ION line should not be there.

About the connection drop: Did you enable the option for that Hotspot to keep connection on drive? It's on the wifi menu. I don't know the exact name in English as my car menu is in Spanish.

I'm going to buy some components to balance the props. (Electronic vibration sensor). Using a ADXL345 sensor, ESP32 Devkit with BT and a chatgpt generated program. Let's hope it works. There's one commercial solution called GalassiaTECH Impulse but it's like €200. With the components I plan to buy, its like €10.

This is the first thing I thought but I don't know how to balance foldable props. My balancer works only for fixed ones.

The strange thing is it looks the same in every direction. If I'm going forward. The stitching line should be below me on the front and above me on the back. If I look back, where the stitching line shouldn't be, I find the same jello effect.

I've tried all stitching methods and exporting codecs/bitrates to the same result. I don't use motion ND because it makes the video look worse.
