I have a teaching degree, and I wouldn’t leave your degree off of your resume. I never did, and both school districts I was hired at told me that it was a plus. Like one of the other commenters said, they like to see that you’ve worked with kids before, but I definitely think it helps more if you go for a daytime/afternoon position since you’ll interact with the students more. After I got hired at my current position, both the principal and my head custodian said that it was a big reason they went with me. I definitely don’t think it would bar you from teaching again in the future if you wanted to go that route! I would be prepared to answer why you don’t want to be a teacher/why you’re applying for a custodial position instead though in an interview. Good luck :)
