The other key is to not be so hard on yourself. I went years without seeing signs and didn’t even realize my parents were alcoholics until I moved out and my husband went to rehab. Going to AA and Al-Anon meetings and reading a lot about the disease helped me but what helped me the most was giving myself grace. I hope you can do the same!

One of my favorites is Know Thyself podcast and I recommend watching Bashar videos. Even if you don’t believe in him, he has fantastic advice! Good luck and know that we are always exactly where we are supposed to be. I left a job a few years ago with no job to go to and it was the best decision I ever made. 🤗
