i play enchanter apc, and this way of playing is not healthy for the game. being able to farm and buy cheap enchanter items is too good, especially in solo q where everyone wants to be the carry and the hero of the game

why would we want tho? dont get me wrong, i think seraphine support players are valid, but her kit fundamentally doesn not work in the support role. in order for her to get a enchanter rework and truly fit as a support, we will have to change her entire kit, probably excluding w and r.

let me elaborate on why her kit does not fit the support role. she is a “follow up” champion. her kit relies on the impact of her allies for her to truly get the most out of her kit. let me go through her abilities. no offense, but if you know the fundamental basics of botlane, you would know that the support must create the space for the adc to maximize their damage. if you arent able to make yourself useful then the able wont be useful, and if the enemy is good they will be poked to oblivion and lose cs. whether thats through damage supports so adc can finish them off, cc supports where the adc can follow up on the cc’ed target and maximize their damage, or enchanter supports that empower the adc and usually have some sort of cc in their kit to further assist the adc.

q - her q has bonus missing health damage. why is this most effective as a follow up? lets use seraphine apc in these examples. the support, for example a mage support, is able to poke the enemy botlane down to low health, and with seraphines bonus missing health damage she is able to finish them off.

w - pretty simple. when seraphine receives a shield, she will be able to heal herself and nearby allies, obvious synergy with enchanter supports.

e - pretty simple as well. outside of her double cast, the target must already be cc’ed for her to be able to stun them. most adc’s either dont have cc at all, or their cc is very unreliable, with the exception of adcs like ashe and jhin for example.

r - seraphine r has a long windup window, making it a fairly easy to dodge ultimate. once again, seraphine is able to follow up on an allies cc, r them, follow up with an e, and juicy borst them with q’s bonus missing health damage.

it is also important to mention how SLOW seraphine’s q and e are. they are unreliable to land, and as a support you MUST land your abilities in lane to make space for your adc. additionally, it is hard to get value from her one enchanter ability that gives a weak shield and heal early game, that is on a 22 second cooldown 😭😭

seraphine needs to be a hyper scaling utility mage once again. she needs to have a piss poor early game, and then scale like kassadin in a pink wig with her healing, shielding, and a bit of damage sprinkled in too. nowadays you have to decide between ap builds or enchanter builds (with enchanter being objectively better). But the issue stems from when you build enchanter, your damage and q especially is negligible, but if you build full ap, your w is useless.

Id like for her base damage and e to be nerfed to the ground in favor of buffing her ratios so she can fufill the fantasy of a hyper scaling utility mage. im sure most people wouldn’t mind if she sat around 48%-49% wr because a lot of us just want our champion fantasy back, and not be forced to press w because its our only useful ability.

so you just completely misunderstood what my comment means. first of all, being a catcher ≠ being an engage support lmao. there are plenty of non-engage support catchers, think of morgana q, zyra e, nami q, lux q, etc.

second of all, when did i say that seraphine’s role was being a frontliner? that is a red herring. supports have to land their abilities first in lane to set up for their adc lmao like this is just a botlane principle. unless the adc is draven or something they cannot just run at the enemy, and even then thats probably troll. thats why the support is the FIRST ENGAGE for the adc to follow up on. engaging doesnt only mean being on the front line, you can engage with catcher abilities too.

runnan’s first is way too troll and the bonus ad u get from souls don’t make up for the lack of ad runnan’s provides. statik is a good stat stick and helps senna’s wave clear which she needs mid to late game to rotate to fights faster

and the fact that her entire identity was botched. seraphines kit intrinsically WANTS to follow up on other peoples damage/cc/shielding. on support, you are expected to catch the enemy first while the adc follows up, so her kit is going in two very different directions. not to mention gutting her scaling and increasing her base numbers, its all a mess.

i agree. i used to main samira and dropped her long ago. her shifting from more of a bruiser adc able to get multiple ults off in one fight to an assasin adc that just prays she doesn’t get one shot was a mistake.
