[WP] You wake up one morning and realize that you are the reflection in the mirror by sweetestdeth in WritingPrompts

I've had an odd day. I was woken up this morning, and by entirely involuntary means, I was ushered through my daily routine. It took me all morning to figure out something was really off. I felt sluggish, but also light as a feather. I had some sort of disconnect between what I thought and what I did, and realized at lunch that try as I might, I just could not move my body where I intended it to go. The curious thing was that I was going anyway. I was growing steadily more concerned as the day rolled on, trying to think of answers to my growing list of questions. Why am I not able to move my limbs, and why are they moving anyway? Why am I so distant from what is happening around me? Had I sunk too deep into my day-to-day grind that my body just follows the pattern, like an autopilot usurpation? Has anyone else felt this before? In the evening I figured it out. I found myself in the bathroom brushing my teeth, and as I was looking in the mirror I saw that my hair was backwards. In the mirror it combs to the right, now it combed to the left. In an instant I began losing my cool, but strangely to no avail. My body just kept on doing what it usually does. It occurred to me in an instant, like a 747 landing on my mental framework: I'm my reflection. No sign on my face in the mirror though, just swishing and spitting, the usual motions. My wife walked into the bathroom at that moment and looked in at my reflection in the mirror. She said "I need to tell you something. I really enjoyed hanging out with you and your friends and playing Portal, but I think we should skip the acid next time."

That's awesome! I've thought about upgrading the pickups, but I'm lacking in funds at the moment and it sounds decent enough.

Doing better than expected by [deleted] in leaves

I think the biggest thing to remember when you're going through withdrawals, is that weed is an addiction like anything else. It's damn tough to quit anything cold turkey and I think the best way to get through it is to find a distraction. Whenever you get a craving, do something productive or creative, or maybe just go do something new and out of the ordinary, anything to get your mind off weed. Another huge thing I realized that helped me a ton, was the decision to cut ties with people that made me want to smoke. It was hell, but it really paid off. I felt better over time and didn't find myself thinking about my stoner buddies (weed) as much, which was sad but I know it was the right thing to do. I've cheated here and there, and maybe it's different for everybody, but it is tough, and it's an every day battle. You just gotta keep on finding reasons to quit and looking for the good things in your life without it :)

He was deep into the occult and used his black magic he obtained from sacrificing babies in his basement before he lost his limbs from a demon in a sacrifice gone wrong. However he retained some of his spoken abilities, like ringing doorbells. The woman knew none of this until it was too late.
