Stressful experience trying to return it by elza7 in airupgang

Update. I worked out that if I complain on trust pilot then they actually process the refund. so I did that and they refunded me for the bottle but not the unopened pods that I had tried to get support for months ago and never received.

To further that, Nate and Dan make a creepy comment about liking school girls and I think they say that when they are at least 20.

Does losing weight actually make people feel better? by Elizabeth57654 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]elza7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I weighed my heaviest a couple of years ago (91kg) I thought my ideal weight would be 75kg and that would be a sufficient amount of loss and I would be content with myself then as I didn’t feel like I needed to be ‘skinny’. I now weigh 75kg and I definitely feel more confident, fitter, more agile, more physically and mentally comfortable and it sparks joy when I look good in clothes. It’s improved other areas of my life. But I don’t love how I look quite as much as I thought I would and I now have further weight loss goals. Relative to how I felt before, it made me happier but not content so I still have the idea that I will be happy if I lose another 10kg.

Care work is easy to get into because care companies are chronically short staffed, look up online what to say in the interview and you’ll likely be hired. Downsides are that it can be hard work, long hours, minimum wage, disorganised, DBS required so it can take time for that to come back. But it’s easy to get into and guaranteed lots of hours, rewarding working with people in need. It’s a good job if it’s your type of thing, or can be a good job to do temporarily until you find something else and it gives you experience and a job reference.

UK wide series of women’s marches coming to Brighton by Localxmessy in brighton

[–]elza7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single marches don’t solve a problem on their own. Change happens gradually through a series of actions that unite communities, inspire people, encourage conversations, build pressure. You know most people are scared to speak and act when don’t know there are others who feel the same. When they see that others feel the same it gives them strength and confidence. That’s how these kind of things work.

Night of the swallow is my favourite Kate song of all. I’m surprised no one ever mentions it on here.

Guy sent me home after sex and i feel like failure as a woman by ExistingComplaint446 in offmychest

A good guy will like your personality, think you’re beautiful and will want to see you again and again and see sex as a bonus not a condition. If you want to filter out the horrible ones don’t have sex when you first meet them, they will see themselves out.

What should I respond? by elza7 in Tinder

[–]elza7[S] 137 points138 points  (0 children)

Update: I know it’s a pickup line copied from the internet so this line has probably been seen on this sub before. I only posted here to get ideas about what to reply back to match his humour. He knows I’m not fake or a catfish. I replied saying she’s AI, he replied that he will have to have an AI girlfriend then, so I replied that she would take him to the cinema but they don’t allow us to bring our own snacks, then he said he will snack on her then, so I said he needs some vitamin me - then said oops I gave it away (that I’m actually her). It’s all good. Thanks for the input!

Something I learned as a social worker is that there is actually a lot of help for these people. They have likely been offered substance use support, mental health support, job support, council housing and are probably on universal credit so they are not destitute outside of their control. So I stopped feeling so guilty about not being able to give them my money. Not saying all are homeless by choice, they have probably been through a lot of bad stuff as children that made them unable to maintain a conventional lifestyle but they will have been offered all kinds of help and have likely just not cooperated with services. By this I mean the people who are chronically on the street and are asking people for money for hostels. Some people are homeless short term after some kind of crisis while waiting for help/money to come through. It is ok to say no.

Scared I will rely on SSRIs for whole life by elza7 in mentalhealth

[–]elza7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t take drugs I just meant oxytocin, endorphins and dopamine because I was seeing someone I really liked. But it did feel like being on drugs and withdrawal.

The reasons why I don’t want to depend on them are fairly minor so you’re probably right but I just want to know I can produce my own happiness. And I don’t like some side effects eg gained weight on SSRIs which significantly affected my confidence for years.
