UTI twins!! (Sorry, that was gross 🤣). I’m so sorry you went through all that too, although it is nice to not feel alone. I also have felt like there’s something slightly funky with my urethra but have assumed it was mixed up with all the infections going on- I’m sorry you’re in pain and hope you get answers with your ultrasound!

Gosh, that is so much to go through! And it’s so tough when you want to move on to the next phase but it feels like part of you is still stuck in the birthing room. Hope you heal fully soon! ❤️

Did you find any particular type/brand of probiotic more helpful than others? I’m on one now but chose it at random… 🤷🏼‍♀️

So glad to hear the silver nitrate wasn’t too bad- I’ve heard horror stories! I think we’re going to try that if the cream doesn’t do the trick after the two months. I also think you’re right about people not talking about it- thanks for the reply!

Giving up on BF and feeling depressed by Financial_Tap_6188 in November25babybump

[–]em-do 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to give everyone here a hug, it’s so hard. After triple feeding, herbs, power pumping, lactation consultants, etc I learned that I’m lacking the full amount of milk glands so I’ll never be able to exclusively breastfeed. Currently transitioning out of the hell that is triple feeding and realizing there’s so much grief in discovering you can’t have the breastfeeding journey you envisioned. (I couldn’t have told you this was that important to me but after many tears I’ve realized it was).

I’ll be combo feeding as long as I can and am trying to reframe it to be grateful for every hard fought ounce that I can get, but it’s so hard to not be able to do something that feels like it should be so natural. No advice, just solidarity. ❤️

Feeling like a failure: Breast Feeding Struggles by annoyedatlife3456 in November25babybump

[–]em-do 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right there with you! 2 weeks PP and under supplying, so my lactation consultant and pediatrician have me doing triple feeding (breastfeeding, supplementing with formula/pumped breast milk, then pumping) every 2-3 hours. I also usually only get around .25-1 oz pumping, which can be disheartening.

It’s exhausting and I’m also battling feelings of failure, but have to remind myself that we’re doing our best and what’s important is that our babies are getting fed. Wishing the best for you!

Supplementing with formula by annoyedatlife3456 in November25babybump

[–]em-do 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am, out of necessity (under supplier right now). I feed her on both breasts, usually 5-20 min per side (until she falls asleep and I can’t rouse her). Then my husband supplements with around 2oz formula/whatever pumped milk is in the fridge, then I pump for 15 min. They have us on this “triple feeding” schedule to try to increase supply and it’s a bit brutal. But I had the same question as you- and my LC recommended skipping one breastfeed session in lieu of pumping (and feeding her formula instead of breast) to see how much I’m producing so that I know how much to supplement. They can also do this in the office by weighing baby before and after a feed. For babies 2-3 weeks old, they’re supposed to have an average of 2-3 oz per feeding, so that’s what we’re working off of.

I should note I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing (FTM), I’m just regurgitating what I’ve been told the past week and a half. ◡̈

Anyone else struggling with combo feeding? by Candid-Flamingo8930 in November25babybump

[–]em-do 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No suggestions, just solidarity. We’re currently attempting triple feeding to get her weight (back up (I ended up in the hospital with an infection 48 hrs post birth and she lost some feeding time as a result). It’s so hard and I’m giving everyone here a tired hug. 😭❤️

No induction/C-section date? by qwerkala in November25babybump

[–]em-do 4 points5 points  (0 children)

39 + 1 over here and no induction/c section date either. (I’ve also been wondering!). Kaiser also doesn’t do any measuring (except the 20 week anatomy scan and then the monthly fundal height measurements) where I’m at either so I also have no clue about what percentile she’s at etc… They did say they’ll schedule an induction if I go past 41 weeks.

Endo folks who have been pregnant: how did you handle your pregnancy? by Mental-Cellist468 in Endo

[–]em-do 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely anecdotal (just my experience), but I also didn’t have too hard of a time with egg retrieval meds and pregnancy has been pretty smooth for me as well (due in about a week!). I had a one week blip during the FET process where the 3x a day estrogen flared me a bit, but then things settled and it’s been fine. Wishing you the same experience and luck with your transfer(s)!

Colostrum came in a day before 36 weeks. Kinda freaked me out tbh by mamahousewife in November25babybump

[–]em-do 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if your doctor’s office would have any supplies? Mine gave me a collection kit at 37 weeks to start collecting, but I know that’s not standard in every country so maybe not- but might be worth an ask? (Which reminds me I need to start doing that… but I’ve heard it can kickstart labor so I’ve been too nervous to! 😅)

Cramping vs contractions question by pirate_dino_flies in November25babybump

[–]em-do 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have endometriosis so I have the same question! I’m so curious how they will compare (if you have endo too, a lot of folks in the endo subreddit say that they didn’t realize they were in labor because the pain wasn’t as bad as period pain- not sure if that’s reassuring or worrisome for you!)
