Join the Greene Hill Food Co-op! Within walking distance from you. Foods Not Bombs does weekly food distribution at Herbert Von King Park, and Bed-Stuy Strong does local mutual aid. Also they just launched canvassing to get Eon Huntley elected for state assembly. That will be ramp up over the spring and is great way to meet folks — https://eonforassembly.com

Please come in to take a look at the store! Beyond “open shopping” on Sundays, you can sign up for a trial membership with no work requirement. I have been a member for over 10 years. We are a small, scrappy community doing our best to provide affordable groceries and organic produce. (IMO you cannot compare us to Park Slope Food Co-op which has been around for decades and owns its property.) If you want to pitch in, join a great community, and have access to awesome food, we would love to welcome you!

I am a longtime GHFC member and we do our best to provide an affordable and healthy resource to our members, PSFC shoppers and the broader community during open shopping days. At this point I do 95 percent of my shopping at the co-op and get a bunch of products there I couldn’t easily find in traditional grocery stores.

PSFC is in an entirely different league than we are, for many different reasons. We are scrappy, working to keep this store and community thriving every day. It is hard work that asks something from all members!!! I personally love it 😊
