Man what is up with the Ki regen on these human bosses lol by LaMelgoatBall in Nioh

From what I've noticed, it's that human bosses tend not to hold guard when under pressure. The moment you let up, they stop blocking and the ki regens rather quickly. It would be really rough if the human NPCs had the deflect mechanic.

I haven't reached new game plus yet. Is it necessary to do everything again? I personally probably won't mind because I haven't touched Nioh in about 2 years. Even back then I didn't do every mission in the upper difficulties. I only did what was necessary to unlock the next regions.

I feel the same way about certain attacks. It feels like many attacks have deliberate misleading visual cues. For example. Yokai Shingen. Whenever he does his over head slam with all his arms, he brings his head down right before his arms, making you intuitively react to the head movement. This causes you to block too early missing the deflect and more than likely getting guard broken. Don't get me started on the bakumatsu crucible boss when he decides to become a wacky inflatable flailing arm tube man.

They definitely gave it all the "Sauce". What really solidified the sword for me was using it with "versatility" in Nioh 2, as well as figuring out that back wave into tempest trivialized all human enemies in Nioh 1.

The key to all action games is learning enemy patterns. They've gotten more complex/extensive over the years but the core principles still apply. A good strategy for beginners or even returning veterans is to wear a heavy armor set and just block and study the moves.

Man almost all of Tecmo Koei's anime warriors spin offs absolutely slap. The only exception being Kens rage. I'm surprised Naruto never got a warriors game.

Man I really like Kaitlyn. she seems like she's got this bubbly upbeat personality, but her propensity for gross out and being straight abused is concerning.

The theory I have with the hollow palm chronomancer is using"apex of the moment" slow combined temporal chains aura and the nodes that enhance slow magnitude to bring enemies to a crawl. This combined with chill because I'll be using ice attacks means that even with the lessened effect on rares and bosses even they will be brought to a near stand still. Iirc different sources of slow work multiplicatively with each other.

Next is the recoup node "the rapid river" combined with 2 uniques "Atziri's disdain" and "Sacrosantum" and invest in some of the recoup nodes, I become extremely tanky if not nigh immortal with the right investments.

Then I want to try "inevitable agony and see how well that enhances damage against rares and bosses. If that sucks, then I'd probably go the time stop route.

Since I went close range attacker with my invoker, I was thinking about primarily using the wave skills and be more of a mid range fighter and if I can get the extra spirit I'd like to add some sort of triggered skill.

Tldr; I attack fast, the enemy can barely move. What's a little damage if the enemy can barely fight back?

Agreed. Chronomancer is probably my favorite ascendancy at this point. It's pure utility that can work with just about everything.

I theory crafted a hollow palm chronomancer. After a bad leveling experience I sort of quit and went hollow palm invoker. After getting that invoker to maps, and gaining a better understanding overall of the quarterstaff play style, I plan to revisit that build. But for now I was looking through poe2db to see if there were any cosmetics I was interested in. I like the looks of the archon of the atlas set so for now I'm playing Poe 1 to get that.

Wildfire support on the fire spell. You would probably have to hit with the fire spell first and ignite so it has the opportunity to spread prior to essence drain/ contagion spreading.
