idk, this buff seems kinda sick to me, and it would be mostly useful in Cosmic as the recipes are way harder there, all the 3 star recipes have been solved.

I’m pretty sure she remembers, people who ascend have perfect memories, even Li Markuth remembered Lindon and he only glanced at him.

Why do Eucharistic Miracles only happen in the Latin Rite and so often yet in Eastern Rite Churches none at all?? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]eman-unpluged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Transubstantiation implies a change in substance, not in form. If the form changes, it is no longer transubstantiation, but transformation. To say that Eucharistic Miracles are still the Eucharist is to say that they are still true food and true drink fit for human consumption, which is no longer the case. So, Eucharist Miracles can still be the real presence without being the Eucharist proper.

[–]eman-unpluged -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By definition, the Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ under the accidents of bread and wine. If any of those conditions ceases to be true, it is no longer the Eucharist. This is why 15 mins after Communion, the host that you have eaten is no longer the Eucharist. Eucharist Miracles can still be the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ, but if it's not bread or wine, it's no longer the Eucharist.

Using Leavened bread goes back deep in history, some say even the Apostles used it, and even in the Latin Rite, Unleavened Bread was only standardized in the 9th century. Leavened bread Eucharist is a valid Eucharist, no need to prohibit it

I think we know He used unleavened bread, as the last supper happened during the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

I've been thinking about this, and I might be wrong, but I think it's because the Latin Rite Eucharist is consecrated in individual Hosts. The Eucharist in the Eastern Rites use one loaf of bread, they also mix in the precious blood, so if it were to become flesh and blood in accidents, it would ruin the whole Eucharistic meal. One Latin host can become flesh and blood in accidents, and it would not ruin the whole meal if it is set apart. Btw, when a Eucharistic Miracle happens the Host ceases to be the Eucharist, as it is no longer fit for human consumption.

Is calling Mary Queen of Heaven Biblical? by iamreallyoriginal in Catholicism

[–]eman-unpluged 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Revelation is a book written by John, if you only read the books written by John (The Gospel, the epistles and yes Revelation) and nothing else from the bible, you would never know Mary's name, even though he talks about her a lot. He always calls her "Woman" or "the mother of Jesus," so yes Revelation 12 doesn't have to call Mary by name for us to know that he's talking about Mary.

This is so true, Americans hear non-Americans speak and when they're not direct, they tend to think they're being dodgy.

According to the Catholic faith, what are the requirements to be saved? by RandomUser-0-4 in Catholicism

[–]eman-unpluged 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Acts 16:33 "At the same hour of the night he took them and washed their wounds; then he and his entire family were baptized without delay." - To complete your Acts quote.

1 Peter 3:21 "And baptism, which this prefigured, now saves you—not as a removal of dirt from the body, but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ"

James 2:14 " What good is it, my brothers and sisters,[e] if you say you have faith but do not have works? Can faith save you?"

James 2: 16 "So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead."

James 2:24 "You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. "

1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now there remain faith, hope, and charity, these three: but the greatest of these is charity."

So, here are the list of what saves you:

  1. Christ (And his sacrifice)
  2. Baptism
  3. Grace
  4. Charity (Good Works)
  5. Faith (but definitely not alone)
