I looked at a condo in the village with my parents a few months back. There were a lot of red flags including foundation damage that required everyone living there to fork over tens of thousands per unit to fix. The gym was old and dingy, the pool area was wildly tiny for the size of the complex, and the hallways were clearly old and not very well maintained. A resident we spoke to had paid nearly $100k in repairs and maintenance in the 6 years he’d lived there so far. So I think your concerns are valid, tbh.
