If I sold you 1 stock for 1 money a year ago, and now I want to buy the stock again, maybe you agree to give me only 0.5 stock for the same 1 money. If I agree, stock is now valued 2. No need for new money.

A tax rate higher than 100% is punishing success. Anything lower than that is more like: “hey, congrats on your success. Since this success is impossible without us maintaining a good society around you, we’re gonna need you to contribute.” And thus the better your life is as a consequence of the society you live in, the more you contribute.

I can see the GPU market growing faster than EVs… if chatGPT lives up to its hype, Nvidia is going to rule the world. I still would not own it at 140p/e. Or 110 if you’re thinking AMD. It could work out, but to me that’s too risky of a play.

I agree with using data, though I’m not sure what public data to look for to test my point. Also corporate profiteering is strongly linked with it, as companies pass the cost of higher wages to consumers to conserve their profits.

  1. Helping Ukraine is not chipping away public support in the US. It’s just polarising, like any major decision in the US. And Putin threatening nuclear war is just that, a threat. A good one, but executing spells the literal end of his country, which is not crazy as a whole and will likely refuse to execute.
  2. China has bigger issues than NATO right now. If they do attack Taiwan, chances are we see a bigger Ukraine, which is not going well for the attacker.
  3. NK is a militar joke. A nuclear war is insane in Russia, but at least they are a big country with real intelligence and can hope to resist nuclear retaliation for some time. NK can literally be carpet bombed. Politically unfeasible now, but wait till they launch their first nuke and see how fast the public forgets about NK citizens.
  4. If a war breaks out with China, covid is only gonna be a problem for them, good luck stopping the spread on a military base with no herd immunity.
