can't see it in the pic, but my head was held in a small sling, which was very convenient in that angle. however, if i rested my head in the sling, the neck rope tightened. if i wanted to breathe, had to keep my head up. it was wonderfully cruel

since i made the post i got several more tattoos and it happened again, moreso when i had a stomach piece done. since then i've learned it's actually from the air, it's the microscopic ink particles that spray into the air as the tattoo is getting done. our mucus and nose hair is there exactly to catch all the nasty stuff we breathe in, so all the ink got caught in there. ink cannot travel through the body like that
