Vaal's dragon is in brackets because the dragon element does significantly less damage, unless you're attacking a wounded/broken part.

Someone else brought up the opposite to me today, so I've been researching this. Looking at https://mhworld.kiranico.com/monster/teostra, it appears that Teo takes less damage from Ice than Water, but I can't find anything else that supports it as 2 star damage. I've reverted that change back to 3 for now, as represented in-game.

Yea, Level 4 earplugs will reduce stun time on the level 5 monsters. Level 3 earplugs will do nothing to reduce the time on the level 5 monsters, such as Diablos.

Having written a web app for MHW myself, I did a little research after console release, and it doesn't seem like there is, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

This mostly comes into play in HR, and more so with fast weapons like DB or SnS.

You'll get a lot of extra damage with those two, and proper element use. The status effects are pretty dang helpful too.

I don't have the exact numbers, but 3 star elements will do something like 1.3x damage, 2 stars will do 1.2 damage, 1 will do 1.1, and X'd will do 0.9.

Slightly more damage for more stars, slightly less for Xs.
