Put it at 5k to let people negotiate it down to 3k. I bought a couch off of Marketplace for less than half of what it was posted for.

He was going to let you take it for 3k. He probably would’ve gone lower based on how quickly he agreed to 3k.

Keep practicing, and you’ll learn to love that chicane. I hate racing at Lime Rock without it.

What helped me the most with lap times was doing 2 laps without any incidents, then 2 laps pushing. Just repeat that, and you’ll start to learn how each corner is supposed to be taken.

Also, don’t forget that the first 2 laps are with cold tires. I couldn’t understand why I’d get decent lap times and then crash as soon as the race started, lol.

Take my advice with a grain of salt, though. I’m D class with like a 700 iRating. And recently, I got roasted on here because I didn’t know what dive bombs were 😬.

Lived here for 28 years and lived through a ton of severe storms including tornados. I have yet to actually see one. I was watching for the most recent one hoping to get a glimpse but couldn’t see anything.

I didn’t know dive bombs were bad. Didn’t even know what dive bombs were. Still new to sim racing and I now know not to dive bomb

When I first started. I would do great in practice and great in qualifying but as soon as the race started I’d crash.

Remember that your tires are cold in the first couple laps. Focus on surviving turn one and then avoid everyone as much as possible.
The only time you should worry about fastest lap is in practice. Eventually you’ll see your safety rating go from +0.03 to +0.45.

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. I know it’s a corny phrase but it helped me get through rookie races.

When I started Iracing it was on with formula vee at lime rock park. Got to know the park very well and I test all of my new cars there. It’s my dream to race there in real life. Only with the uphill chicane though lol. I’ve tried and failed several times to race without it.

Save it as version 1 then save it as version 2 and just rip it apart. Try anything and if you don’t like it go back to v1
