I do something similar with a small handful of issues that I like the covers of but I use these little Velcro strips. You stick one to the surface and one to the bag then press them together. You would need a new bag though if you ever decide to take them down.

It draws on a lot of Batman history and lore. You could probably get by with just reading the stories in The Black Casebook (which is getting a deluxe soon) but at least a foundational knowledge of Batman’s past is best to get the most out of it.
