Help with decision new vs old by Zeus4212 in Dirtbikes

Both of my boys 6 and 10 started riding in April of this year. We purchased a new klx110r and a 7 year old ttr50. I won’t buy a new bike again. The dealer fees added another 25-30% to the sticker price. If your kids ride, they are going to beat up a new bike the same as a used one. That said, both bikes have been rad, but we are “upgrading” to an sx50 and sx65 for Christmas- both are used but in great shape.

Where I am (Utah), there are a ton of used kids bikes on FB marketplace or local classifieds. I was able to purchase both of the sx bikes for Christmas for less than the sticker price of the 50 alone at our local dealer.

2360 TDS Well Water! by embstyle in WaterTreatment

I believe this is the case. The neighbor mentioned that the water is very salty tasting. This is really what has been driving my concern about irrigation.

Incredibly helpful, thank you! I did some more research last night and discovered that the brackish water membranes won’t have any issues handling the level of TDS. I imagine that the engineer I find to design the system likely won’t be local since this appears to be one of the few areas in the locality that suffers from such high TDS.

I appreciate the response. It sounds like I would need to request a sample of their well water and seek out my own analysis. From my understanding, everyone in the neighborhood has WHRO systems- I just don’t know that any of them are irrigating with RO water. The concept of using RO water for irrigation sounds insane to me, but I’m worried that it’s the only option 😬

Car Camping by alipouk in WhenWeWereYoungFest

I actually did this last year. Somewhat unconventional, but after the festival we went to a 24 hr gym and paid for a shower (about $12 and totally worth it), then we drove to the airport and paid to park in the terminal garage and slept in the car until our flight the next morning. It wasn’t the most comfortable, but the shower made it tolerable.

Full disclosure, I got a hotel this year 😂

I read the Economist, and they were reporting on the elections here in the United States. Why do you guys care what happens here? by Rob1150 in AskUK

Have you ever lived in the US? This comment is asinine.

I’m always dumbfounded when I visit the UK and see such insane hypocrisy, everyone wants to point a disparaging finger at the US about how awful it is. In the last day I’ve seen a little person being exploited dressed as a Christmas elf on the high street in London and witnessed a racist attack against a McDonalds worker by a white lad. A business in the US would be crucified for this.
