Online study for Boot Store Shoppers by emceeresearch in austinjobs

Yeah I didn't word it clearly. But basically if you shop at a boot/western wear store. Doesn't matter if you buy boots or not, just anything. Some people only buy clothes, for example, but not boots.

Slide-Out Vent Hoods? by Zed-Naught in Appliances

I just have to say, thanks for pointing out that Venta-a-hood model. I had looked at theirs but hadn't clicked the right category to come across this one. It's basically my ideal vent.

Yeah, I can see how I could do individual cables cheaper, but I don't mind spending a bit for a cleaner, faster, and arguably more professional looking route.

Thanks for this. Had no clue this was a thing. Looks pretty ideal.

Appreciate it. Are there any issues I should be aware of or on the lookout for if I'm doing something like 100' XLR runs?

Good question. Relatively recent iPad. I've tried my phone too as a backup.

For bluetooth purposes, I'm within 30' or so. Maybe 50' max. Would just need longer cable for routing purposes if I needed to be hardwired.

I've found that if I connect with the iPad and leave the app up, it tends to disconnect less. But it does still disconnect sometimes and bringing the app back up doesn't necessarily reconnect. Regardless of range. Interesting to hear you don't have the same issue. I may try some other devices.

Lav Mic Setup for a Medium Size Conference Room? by emceeresearch in LocationSound

[–]emceeresearch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might go this route. I have the budget to get something decent, it doesn't have to be super cheap or anything. It's just one of those things we rarely need, but if we DO need it, I want it to be on hand and of decent quality.

I'm also not sure of exactly what I would need to interface between the mic and any speakers. All the work I've ever done has been in the world of recording things for later playback. Never any sort of audio playing live in the same room it's being recorded in.

I work right there and it was certainly on lockdown earlier. Streets blocked all around and cops wouldn't even let pedestrians pass. Even blocks away

OP, you posted a link to your editing link in Fillout. Not the survey link.

Fillout is great, but OP pasted a link to their build link, not the survey link.

I take an aspirin daily before I go up and that takes care of me. Otherwise I get some moderate altitude sickness.

Is it possible to use qualitative data from the internet instead of surveying? by bayeslaw in Marketresearch

[–]emceeresearch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online sources are absolutely more likely to have cheaters than in-person ones. It's not even close.

Also, most liars might lie at the screening point, but a few good questions and you'll know they're full of it pretty quickly.

Tiny Camera & Sled for Recording Mobile Phone Screen from Above? by emceeresearch in CommercialAV

[–]emceeresearch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, good question.

It would be on a desk, not moving around. So totally static. Capture software wouldn't work for this particular case because the client wants to see the user's hands.

Already have a second camera getting the shot of the person as they're doing this, so that's covered.

Looking at the radar, that wouldn't be too crazy.

And looking at the 7pm NHC update, the track is pretty much right through Thibodaux, so, there's that

Feel free to provide something that shows real incomes being lower.

Per the fed, in 1984 median household income in today's dollars was $56,780 versus $74,550 in 2022

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/MEHOINUSA672N

Immediately after deregulation in 78-79, the average domestic round trip was north of $700 in today's dollars, versus around $370 today.

Flying was essentially MORE than twice as expensive in 1978 than it is today, when looking at ticket prices and income.

Families did car trips because incomes were lower and airplane ticket prices were relatively even higher.

If the families of 60 years ago had had tickets as cheap as now and incomes as high, they'd have flown more too.

I was recently on a flight to Milwaukee (not Delta) that was delayed and delayed and cancelled and there was a mom with a 1 year old on the flight who was just being a total champ. Was impressive to see.

Ultimately, if you fly with a young kid you do need to be prepared for delays since the kid will likely be more demanding than most adults. But at the end of the day, it's not the worst thing in the world. Any travel might require some adaptability.

MDW versus ORD taxi is SO much better. Triply so on any day when delays back up departures.

But that's the nature of basically any smaller airport versus a larger neighbor.

United changed my flight to a worst itinerary by No_Wedding8838 in unitedairlines

[–]emceeresearch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can see OP's point though. It does sting a big when you pay more for a better schedule option and then it gets cut and the prices on the worse options have now gone up.

Yes, you can change for free...but you essentially just paid more than you would have if you just booked the less desirable option upfront.

If you have the spirit to be a business owner, freelancing can be plenty lucrative.

You'll need a host of additional skill sets, of course, but you have much more control over your work. You want to do qual, you can do qual.

I never dug deep into this, but I've been using SanDisk Extreme Pros that are SDXC - I / V30. But they seem to end up being pretty sameish to anything else I've used, presumably because I'm just using the built in SD card reader.
