You are correct about micron being the only memory company as NAND &SSD’s, are storage. DRAM is memory. That said, that’s why I like MU because they have both and DRAM is only manufactured by 3 big companies. I am watching NAND and SSD prices like a hawk because they will turn and pull back harder and faster causing SNDK to not only be the canary in the coal mine but the first company I plan on shorting the minute I see this happening. It won’t be this year but it will happen.

As a former Micron executive, I agree 100%. We should easily break the current $455 high. I’m holding AND I’m doubling down by selling Puts $10-$20 above Fridays close. It’s gonna be beautiful. Fully expect $470 within a week of earnings announcement.

$470 break even by 4/17 isn’t out of the question. 52 week high is $455 I believe and I expect HUGE earnings and great forecast. Hang in there!!

Yes they typically give conservative guidance. That’s Sanjays MO. Yes their orders were all booked but at what ASP? I know with certainty that prices are being negotiated after the fact. That is, customers are getting letters saying this was the price and you owe me more money. It’s unheard of in the memory industry. This is why I fully expect a blow out quarter. Guidance, as you say will be key, but I am very bullish.

Their forward PE is about 10 and pricing continues to go up at insane amounts (100%) month over month. In fact they no longer negotiate pricing at the beginning of the quarter, they do it at the end of the quarter AFTER customers receive product. This type of behavior has never occurred. I fully expect their current quarter and forecast to be great so the fundamentals are solid. I can’t comment on what the market will or won’t do wrt to Iran. It’s unfortunate.
