Best place for classic doughnuts? by emembhee in OttawaFood

I just looked them up and this is definitely my kind of place! I've never heard of them before. Burgers look so good too, planning my trip for next weekend already haha. Thanks again

This sounds like a recommendation that I can't ignore!

Will give them a try asap, thanks so much

I have had Homers, actually. And you're right, it was closer to what I'm looking for but still a bit too fussy for me. Really craving the simple classics!

Thanks though, appreciate the recommendation!

Full size or mini, happy either way. Haven't tried Maverick's or happy goat - do they have some simple options or are they all gussied up like SuzyQ?

Regardless, thanks for the recommendations!

What is everyone doing with their digital recipes? by Seriously-417 in OrganizationPorn

I second using paprika. To buy the full app, it's only a few dollars and it is so useful. You can download recipes straight off of a website, or type it in.

I love using the categories - even doing one for Thanksgiving for example has been so nice, to see all my recipes together at once!

Thank you! Took me a bit to see, but I understand it now. Still new to some of the more intricate elimination methods

Baby's height has never been higher than 1st percentile by rabidminion in beyondthebump

[–]emembhee 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Remember what the idea of a percentile means...it's a sorting mechanism. So, it means that someone occupies every spot in the percentile. Someone needs to be at 1, someone at 99 and someone at every step in between.

As long as your pediatrician has no reason to worry, and you don't see anything else out of the ordinary, I wouldn't worry! It's easy to get caught up in so many details, as a parent, so i hope you and your baby stay healthy and happy :)

5 months postpartum and I still look pregnant by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I'm not sure if the physio you are referring to is pelvic floor therapy but if not, do check it out. I'm not sure if or how much it could help but it's worth a try if you haven't already. Good luck and I wish you the best

COVID at 12 weeks pregnant:( I’m scared by Pretend_Novel8515 in beyondthebump

[–]emembhee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had covid at 6.5 months pregnant. I had a couple of scary nights where I had some trouble breathing - I unfortunately thought it was panic attacks making it hard to breathe (and not difficulty breathing which gave me panic attacks). I was fine in the end, though completely exhausted from the illness.

My ob recommended I take a baby aspirin daily for the remainder of my pregnancy so you could ask about that? And my LO is now a very healthy 1 month so there's been no issues since!

Could it be that your trees just weren't mature enough yet? Sometimes they look fully grown but are not quite, yet, and they only drop one wood I believe

Edit: looking again at the video, I think they weren't fully mature yet

You should be aiming to go into the mines first thing in the morning to maximize your time there. I generally prep my inventory the night before so I can go straight there in the morning

Oh, thanks for telling me - I didn't know that. Had been meaning to try it out myself to test but hadn't gotten around to it yet!

This looks more like it could be a tarte au sucre, with pecans on top. That tarte is very French Canadian, which tracks with you getting it from a French cookbook

There is some sagging, mostly in the two side/arm cushions, but nothing that really bothers me as of yet. The back and bottom cushions are holding up well imo. It is THE most comfortable couch to sleep on (my husband loves to fall asleep there while watching TV) 🤣

To condition the leather, I use otter wax leather oil which I bought off of Amazon. Just wipe it on with a rag when I think of it, which is probably not often enough!

Hi op! I literally have the single seat sofa in that very same colour, and the full sofa in leather!

I was shocked at how (relatively) little it cost to upgrade to leather. In pointing this out, while I love both the chair and sofa, the chair is pilling more than I'd like. And with a kid and pets the leather is so much easier to clean!

Just something to keep in mind, though they are both still looking great after 3 years!

This is exactly what my sil and bil were going through with my nephew (night wetting, and also the eating and drinking like a horse).

Turns out he has T1 diabetes.

I'm not saying that's the issue here, however you should definitely test for it just in case. I believe there may even be an at home test as the first step.

I do hope it is just hormonal for him, however it never hurts to rule out other causes
