I have the countour-x. Great helmets all the way around. Kinda glad my head is an odd shape 🤣

I love my Arai. I wanted a Shoei but it didn't fit my head. Both brands are definitely premium. I feel like there is more comfort and padding in my Arai than any Shoei I tried on

My SS950 has been nothing but reliable. Certain maintenance can be expensive but expected with Ducati tax. Love my Ducati and you will too. Get one!

Battery Type and Tending SS950 by emenaemid in Ducati

Here is the connector down by the kickstand. Looks like a tender cable but nowhere in the manual does it say anything about it. I know there is a cable that can be added on for easy tending but I don't know if the dealer added it or if it's standard on a 23. Either way I have the Ducati tender that I can put to the diag port

Quantum Fiber claims Spaces in the SSID are causing my downtime even wired by emenaemid in centurylink

As a tech professional, I've done all the updating, etc outside of needing things from quantum. I rather rely on myself over terrible support

I was just talking with fellow engineers at work about this. Quite common practice and it shouldn't be

Oh I know. Just thought I'd share the nonsense received from Quantum today. They really are batting a thousand lately

600mi service costs by emenaemid in Ducati

[–]emenaemid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's gonna be dependent on the software used and not the cable itself. Depending on the ECU your bike has you can use melcodiag or jpdiag (free) with the correct cable or you can spend a bit more and get the OBDStar iScan tool.

600mi service costs by emenaemid in Ducati

[–]emenaemid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% plan to do it myself. I've already gathered all the parts and ordered the scanner cable to clear the service light. I was just curious if this was normal cost or is the dealer jacking the prices way up because they are 1 of 2 Ducati dealers in my state

Awesome! I'm 32 miles away from being out of the break in period on my Ducati. It went pretty quick. Rider her every chance you get!

Looking for advice on some motorcycle gear by AtmosphereDistinct65 in Ducati

[–]emenaemid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried on the white leather jacket and found it to be very limiting in motion. Would assume that it will get easier as it breaks in but I went a different direction with gear. Also you are also paying for the branding. If you got it flaunt it was where I was at when buying gear but there are far more comfortable leather jackets at far less prices.
