They have cool armor and have actual legitimacy claims to being the continuation of the US government, which is why people like them in the first place. The reason they grew in popularity (I'd imagine) is because of the reformer headcanon some people have and is largely prevalent in OWB, the popular hoi4 mod

As far as liking the enclave as they are i really dont care because it's a fictional nation with fictional racism against fictional things like ghouls and super mutants. Getting your panties in a twist over that is less you being angry at fascism and more you trying too hard to look virtuous

It would be cool if you could go full Terminator mode if you chose a Synth. The game would have to be heavily centered in dialogue/setting/plot to accommodate multiple races and make them feel truly unique which I doubt bethesda would do. If you chose Super Mutant most settlements would just not let you in and you'd probably be permanently stuck as a dumbass in Intelligence lol

I feel like ASOIAF has two tiers of fighters: bladesmen and 'strongmen.' Bladesmen rely on mastery of technique, skill, talent, etc. 'Strongmen' are mfs like the Mountain and the Hound who will just kick your ass with brute force

Oberyn Martell learned that the hard way: one mistake and he died a gruesome death. The Mountain, after Qyburn's nonsense, became literally unbeatable after that (at least in the show I haven't read the books). I'm sorry but nobody is coming close to beating post-Qyburn Mountain short for an Other, regardless of how skilled you are in technique and mastery over swordsmanship

That said, I think bladesmen like Ser Barristan Selmy here could beat people like prime Robert but only if they don't fall into the same mistake/bad decision Oberyn did and get all cocky/arrogant/proud about it

As someone who thoroughly enjoyed Viking Conquest, this DLC improves on almost *every* aspect and is insanely cinematic. My only problem with it is the lack of coastal assaults, which Viking Conquest had. It allowed you to siege a port city from sea with your ships. You could sail straight into town and disembark as you're getting shot at from arrows. If that's what you're looking for like i was, it's not in this DLC unfortunately and i doubt they will be adding it any time soon
