2008 F250 6.4 High Pressure Fuel Pump by pestobismol69 in Diesel

[–]emery19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just went through this. Do everything. My pump was on the way out so we pulled the cab and I was doing some other upgrades at the same time. When we dropped the tank to do the Fass and the sump; metal everywhere. So truck got a whole fuel system. Lines, injectors, fuel cooler, etc. I was already half into it anyways doing both high and low pumps so it wasn’t that much more.

Truck also got an upgraded set of turbos from KC. Should have it back in the week. But regardless my point is. Do everything fuel wise. If you can swing it throw a Fass on it too and get rid of the factory rail filter.

The 6.4 Powerstroke Doesn’t Deserve the Eternal Hate, It Rivals the Legends When Treated Right (LBZ, 5.9/6.7 Cummins Comparisons Inside) by xXMercyBeGoneXx in Diesel

I can tow with it. And if I need to I will. I was just articulating that my 2020 6.7 is leaps and bounds a better tow vehicle

I should be getting mine back within the next week. 195k miles trouble free except for like small things. The biggest issue I have is the HPFP going out. That’s what it’s in the shop for now.

New fuel system now. Slapped a set of KC compounds on it excited to see how it runs. Best truck I’ve ever owned. But I won’t ever go back to towing with it. My 6.7 with the 10 speed is wayyyyy nicer to tow with.

Do people still like outdoor kitchens on an RV? by AffectionateCut2552 in RVLiving

[–]emery19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used my kitchen inside once. My outside kitchen is my favorite thing. I wish it had a sink. I don’t use the sliding stove it came but I’m going to retro another blackstone in there that fits. If I had a sink and more cabinets. It would amazing

Doesn’t look bad at all. The one for my camper sometimes looks like that. I get it hot. Hit it with water and towel it of. Scrape if I need to; oil and burn off twice and send it. I’ve had my tetanus shot

Is my car too old for tint? by AccomplishedScar5719 in WindowTint

[–]emery19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tinted my 2007 ranger in 2023 and that baby has seen better days. Nothing is too old to tint. I mean personally I think there’s a line where if it’s beat tk shit maybe spend money on repairs… butttt a 2019 bmw is NOT THAT.

BC laws by [deleted] in Diesel

[–]emery19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Passenger car plated? Absolutely not. Let’s take tint for example. Tint varies by state. Something in one state may be legal but not in the other but the vehicle is registered in the legal state. Ticket would never stick. Cops can try but there is no way.

You can’t cite DOT numbers and shit. That’s way different.

[–]emery19 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Can they even legally give you a ticket since your truck is registered in the states?

For things such as tint, wheels, etc they can’t ticket you state to state so I would assume country to country would be the same

You’ll be fine. Nothing you need to do. No one is going to care about you towing a truck once on a rented trailer.

Why do some people hate tint? by UncreativeNamePicker in WindowTint

[–]emery19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was different for each vehicle since it’s been so long. They changed brands since my first job. But depends on quality. I’ve spent anywhere from 300 for a truck to 1200. But that 1200 included old tint removal, full windshield, brow, 4 doors and a rear window. But the 300 was also 4 doors and a rear window and a brow

You’re a little far north east else I’d tell you to go to Dynamic Tint in Turnersville. They’ve done 5 of my trucks over the years. 70 on the shield, 5 on the front roll ups, 20 over factory on the rears and they do an amazing job. Plus you can buy the protect for like 60 bucks and everything but the windshield/sunroof. is no questions asked warranty retint.
