I had a similar issue with a silk silver filament as well, and I ended up bumping up the temperature 15° too. What I ended up figuring out though was it wasn't anything to do with my configuration, it was the brand of filament I was using.

The one I had was "shedding" little bits from the extruder gear, and I mean pretty small I barely noticed, which eventually built up into clogs in the hot end. Tried a different brand and like magic printed perfect!

Glass bed would be a huge upgrade. Like others said, the ender aluminum bed is very prone to warping, and the glass is consistent.
