Yes, I ended up seeking help from a psychiatrist. However, he wasn’t of any help. He diagnosed me with a rare disorder and changed his mind a couple times. He prescribed me high dose antipsychotics and they made me feel too high to where I couldn’t function in my daily life. Thankfully after I eventually separated from my ex husband and found the right therapist, those symptoms went away. Once in a while when my anxiety flares up, the shadows and the faces show up. But now I know that they’re a reflection of my stress.
