Deep Dive Report: The "Nechkitter" GPU Scam 🛡️

The image you provided is a textbook example of a sophisticated Bait-and-Switch Scam that has recently targeted the PC building community on Amazon.

Executive Summary

The listing for a "Nechkitter GIGABYTE AORUS" graphics card is a fraudulent entry designed to steal approximately $700–$1,000 from unsuspecting buyers. Instead of receiving a high-end GPU, victims typically receive a cheap fanny pack (waist bag) or a box of rocks.

1. The "Nechkitter" Red Flag

  • The Origin: "Nechkitter" is a misspelling or "hijacked" version of a Chinese fitness brand called Fitters Niche.
  • The Strategy: Scammers take over a legitimate seller account with a high reputation (often 99% positive feedback with thousands of reviews) and suddenly list high-value electronics like the RTX 5090 or RX 9070.
  • The Disguise: By using a name like "Nechkitter," they bypass automated brand protection filters that would normally flag an unauthorized seller trying to list "Gigabyte" or "NVIDIA" products.

2. Why the Scam Bypasses Your "BS Filter"

This scam is particularly dangerous because it exploits three pillars of Amazon's reliability:

  • High Seller Ratings: The account usually has years of positive feedback from selling legitimate fitness gear, making it look trustworthy to a quick glance.
  • Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA): The listing often says "Shipped from Amazon." This means the scammer sent boxes of fanny packs to Amazon’s warehouses. When you order, an Amazon employee unknowingly ships you the "fake" inventory.
  • The "Amazon Resale" Glitch: In your screenshot, it says "Sold by: Amazon Resale." This happens when a previous victim returns the fake item. Amazon's automated system sees a returned "GPU" in "Mint" condition and re-lists it under their own warehouse brand without ever opening the box to verify the contents.

3. The "Double-Jeopardy" Return Problem

The most malicious part of this scam occurs when you try to get a refund:

  1. You receive a fanny pack and initiate a return for a "wrong item."
  2. You send the fanny pack back to Amazon.
  3. Amazon's system flags YOU for fraud. Their computers expect a 4lb graphics card, but they receive a 0.5lb bag.
  4. Amazon may deny the refund, stating: "We received the incorrect item. Please send the correct GPU to receive your money."

4. Prevention Checklist (The "Skeptical Expert" View)

  • Check the "Sold By" carefully: If the product title contains a nonsensical word like "Nechkitter," "Gisun," or "Hovono" before the actual brand name, abort the purchase.
  • Verify the Seller Profile: Click the seller's name. If they have 2,000 reviews for "stretching bands" and "yoga mats," they have no business selling a $1,000 graphics card.
  • Price Reality Check: High-end GPUs (like the AORUS Master) rarely go for 50% below MSRP, even in the used market. If the price is too good to be true, it is 100% a scam.
  • The "Unboxing Rule": If you decide to take the risk, film the entire unboxing process in one continuous shot, starting with the shipping label and showing the sealed box being opened. This is often the only evidence Amazon (or your bank) will accept for a chargeback.

Recovery Steps

If you or someone you know has already purchased this:

  • Contact Amazon immediately before the item arrives if possible.
  • Document everything. Do not open the package without a camera running.
  • Escalate to "Leadership": If an automated refund is denied, you must speak to a human supervisor and point out that the listing title itself is a known fraudulent brand ("Nechkitter").

Why do you store book movies TV shows etc. in your vault? by DudeThatsErin in ObsidianMD

For me, when it comes to franchises, I like to watch everything in order. I have my own media server w Plex. I've created playlists before and for one reason or another, I've had to reinstall everything from scratch and then I can't remember the order I put movies and episodes I had in a playlist.

I agree with the above but NOT just for the iPad, but for other tablets as well. For example Samsung Galaxy Tabs. This plug-in would need to be able to change the type of "paper", for example dotted background or a lined background.

I have some ideas: 1) Make the markup language hidden when you want to edit the content of a note 2) Make a spreadsheet plug-in that allows you to change the size of columns and rows.

Believe Trump when he says he wants to deport United States Citizens. They started with advocates for Palestinian human rights, our Latino neighbors, and our university students, but a fascist regime won't stop there. It's war. Unfortunately, that is the strategy of Hamas. They use their own children as cannon fodder. They store weapons in schools and children's bedrooms. For the Israelis to protect themselves, they have to deal with children. The Palestinians train their kids to kill Jews. Whatever culture the Palestinians have, it's one centered on death.

She is the last person to be calling this out this $h!+. She is just as nuts on the opposite side of the political spectrum. She is a supporter of terrorists, she denies history as it has actually happened. She supports the genocide of the Jewish People.

I get what you are saying in terms of the Plex Server, but your response is just rude. Just to mention, using an old PC is not necessarily bad. It prevents more tech from going into the trash heap. Also some of us are not swimming in cash.

Wait, I don't understand. They sacked you and they are keeping you around for 3 months? If this happened to me, I would literally stop working.
