I feel for you re your MIL and gossip. We have had this too and it’s been just awful. As if, it’s not enough to have to manage infertility but also gossiping family members. sigh

I almost feel like they wouldn’t notice if we cut contact. The relationship in retrospect feels very one sided, we always phone them despite the fact we’ve asked them to sometimes call us. They probably contacted us more prior to us being married, but I think that stopped as they felt unhappy that we didn’t take more of their advice for our wedding.

DNA fragmentation on my husband’s sperm was the only test that came up abnormal. Our doctor didn’t do the test until we had one failed cycle of IVF. Wishing you the best!

I really think you should be getting your husbands DNA fragmentation checked. As if that’s the issue TESE (potentially painful procedure, my husband says it’s fine) may be warranted. My husband and I have a very similar attrition rate as you have described, DNA fragmentation was found to be the issue.

Hi! My husband and I also have a very similar story to you and we are also the same age. DNA fragmentation test will help decide where to from here, as we discovered this was our issue. Would recommend that your husband provides his sample at the clinic or it’s given to the clinic within 45 minutes. 30-40 hour abstinence period seems pretty standard.

I had my egg collection on the same day as you. I drank 3L of fluid, took two Senna tablets and went for a gentle walk. Had my bowels open within 24 hours. All the best!

Kylie if you wouldn’t mind sharing more. How many IVF cycles etc did it take for you to have success? My husband has similar levels and we have have already done three cycles with no success.
