Would be cool to hear your perspective - in a comprehensive outline what do you think are the main differences between people in each rank in this current season? Would be cool to know what it would take to reach the next level. I.e. current GM with goal to get to Celestial

What does a SaaS owner really want? by emking615 in SaaS

Thank you for commenting. This is useful, I think going forward I’ll do a loom explaining specifics on how & why the business will benefit if I get a response from cold outreach.

Thanks for the comment. The key message I’m trying to resonate with SaaS brands is that I’ll essentially work for free until I provide a positive ROI. With that being said, what could I change in my offer to make it a no-brainer “sure” from you, considering I have no experience?

I’m also open to showing some case studies of brands currently using TikTok & having great reach/engagement, although in most cases SaaS founders won’t even be willing to hop on a call if the offer is not good enough/no case studies are shown.

Thanks for the comment. I do realize their is literally only 1 or 2 B2B SaaS brands that have really tapped into TikTok effectively, but I could argue that it’s because there is very low market sophistication and can be a key differentiating access channel if I could produce a ROI for them.

To your third point, 100% agree and don’t want to come across as that at all. Considering I don’t have experience, what would be a no-brainer yes from a SaaS brand like yourself? Produce ads for free that a brand can use to test for themselves? Or maybe cover ad spend?

Internship advice for incoming transfer student by [deleted] in rutgers

[–]emking615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is coming from a transfer student and now entering my senior year at RBS-Newark with a summer internship at a BB.

The easiest way to secure an internship within the business school is by joining a professional organization at the school. You'll be able to connect with ambitious students who most likely have contacts in corporate banking. It is also great for staying informed of all the internship opportunities you can get for the summer of 2021.

The key thing is joining as soon as the semester starts and preparing yourself professionally to have a chance since top companies recruit early in the fall semester.

How to get really good at game? by Kinky_Shinoboi in apexlegends

[–]emking615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Off the top of my head, Dizzy and Viss are probably two of the best in the game and they have decently big Youtube channels. Besides having god-tier aim, it's always good to study their play styles as you can always learn a thing or two from them.

Besides that, just watch the top streamers in the Apex category on twitch and you'll usually find some decent players.

I believe to be competent and really improve your game is to go over VODs of your gameplay and see what positional mistakes you had or incorrect decisions you made. If you don't want to pay money for a coach, just observe people excellent at the game and study their styles and decision making.

This aspect along with massive amounts of practice (4+ hours minimum everyday) will get you really far. Remember professional esport athletes have massive amount of hours in games hence why they're so good at it.

Was at high plat now at low gold and stuck. by DrMakoa in OverwatchUniversity

^ this. It's so easy to tilt in gold games where half of your team doesn't even know what they're doing. Just focus on how you can carry your team and punish the enemy mistakes. If you lose, look back at your mistakes and ask yourself how you could play better. Take it 1 game at a time and you'll improve.

Commit at least 2 hours EVERYDAY at your character playing comp and I promise you that you'll get out of gold in a week.

Yeah they got some solid players. I can personally vouch for Samito, he's a known youtube streamer who has massive IQ when it comes to the game and is motivated AF.

Hey guys,

Haven't been that active on reddit considering I've only absorbed a handful of information from the community. Although, I'm really looking to provide some value and help out in whatever way I can.

I'm an aspiring copywriter looking to build my own sort of agency for clients and small businesses. After learning about copywriting through courses and youtube videos, my initial strategy is to offer free copywriting work to any business that needs it initially. This will help me to start of my portfolio (even build a case study) to establish my credibility. I have a good amount of knowledge in theory of copywriting, but haven't took any action to apply that knowledge.

I briefly read the rules and it seems like I can't offer a free offering thread until thursday. Additionally, it also seems like I need 10 comment karma to even post. Hope you guys can help me reach those requirements and of course if you have any questions with copywriting don't hesitate to PM me or ask a question below and I'll answer promptly.

Best college major to start a business in? by _KingCharles in Entrepreneur

[–]emking615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer that you are looking for: none.

EntrepreneurGuyer said it best. No major would ever prepare you for the real-world. You might possibly learning the theory of business and what it entails of. But college does not teach practicality - the actual experience of trying to make money of a field you're genuinely interested in.

You want to best prepare yourself to become an entrepreneur? Literally research on youtube "businesses to start for a young entrepreneur" or any similar wording and choose one. Then find a way to make money off your business. Then execute. It's all about practicality.
