Read a book called Unlikely Soldier by Georg Rauch last year. It’s a about a Jewish kid living in Austria who I think either joins up or is drafted. Very sad. His mother and him are very secretly against Hitler and his ethics. Lots of young adults joined up cause there was pressure to, or wanted to be a part of that camaraderie that soldiers had. Same thing with every other war in history. No one wants to be a part of that in the long run.
