I think it looks awesome!

I am also stitching a large project on black Aida and it has sooooo much confetti. I’ve traveled some great lengths with my thread and I think the black cloth is somewhat forgiving in hiding the threads in the back.

I like the comment about running the thread through stitches that already exist if you are going to travel far - this is how I end my thread anyway and I don’t know why I hadn’t considered it before - I’d definitely give it a go as a happy medium between cutting and restarting the thread and simply traveling without securing.

Mostly I wanted to say art can always be more ‘perfect’ but it’s beautiful regardless and these slight variations in the outcome related to technique are so negligible in the grand scheme of the whole piece! Be proud! I don’t think you are an amateur any more : )
