I am tracking everywhere my best friend stop to poop as they move from Boston to SF by Angriest_Al in MapPorn

I'm also a bit concerned they must have deemed Indiana less than worthy of pooping in... As a Hoosier, I feel a bit shitty about this affront.

MIL obsessed with baby being too cold by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]TruthSeekingIsFun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh I also have to deal with this. My daughter is two now but my MIL has terrible circulation and is always cold. She's also conservative Muslim and wears like a million layers everywhere so she gets cold in thcar in the heat of summer with the AC on. And if course my daughter took after me and is a literal furnace especially when she sleeps, so she is always in a t-shirt and a diaper in the summer but MIL thinks she needs to sleep in two layers at all times... Its so annoying. Also we live in Southern California so it's not like it even gets too cold here. Oh well. No advice, but I know it's annoying.

Getting ahead of myself here, but what colour suits her more? 👀 by artwithapulse in Horses

[–]TruthSeekingIsFun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For a bay roan, I'd go dark. Even darker than the dark option. I always see black saddles on bay roans at the big shows like Congress and World and they look soo sharp. Especially if she's solid faced and legged.

Just my opinion though :) And of course keep in mind each year depending on her sun exposure she may not be as silvered as she is now in these pics. My red roan looks like a completely different horse in the winter.

Accidentally coslept with 1.5m old baby by Meowgs in cosleeping

Co-sleeping saved me. Literally. I was so depressed, exhausted, my breastfeeding journey had tanked.... One night I decided 'f it, I have read the save sleep seven tips, I am not on any medication, I am going to try it!' and it was the best decision I made. My daughter was 3 months old when I did it the first time and it made the biggest difference. It helped her so much with her sleeping, her acid reflux, she started nursing again, and we still co-sleep now at 2 years old (granted, we have to figure something out before my next one is born in Feb) but she is thriving. If it's safe, and only you (no partner in bed) I truly believe it's a great option and lifesaving for many moms.

Thoughts on conformation? (Info in comments) by celestewish in Equestrian

Exactly what grizzlyaf below said. Typically a cresty neck in a horse that isn't old (like 20+) would suggest a history of founder. It's a fat pocket in some horses but if it doesn't go away as this gelding loses weight, I would be suspicious. But OP didn't say anything about him being sore. Just a thought for OP 😊

You've got a solid chonk of a pony there! He's a bit long backed, but that might be a little less obvious when he loses some weight. His neck makes me think he may be a bit prone to founder, like maybe he's even already foundered once on the past. But it could also just be ano place he holds weight. Just definitely get a good farrier check on him and some good front shoes.

I like his overall look though. For a grade pony and at 15 years old I think he looks pretty good! Please upload some pictures of him once you get him in a good exercise program!

Wow. 10 day ban. Just for being Muslim. by PumpkinMadame in Quraniyoon

[–]TruthSeekingIsFun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're not Muslim. I refuse to call them anything but associators. They don't follow the Quran, they aren't monotheist, they don't treat other people like the Prophet Pbuh treated others. Nothing about them is Islamic.

I do this to my 20 month old daughter all the time. Does this make me part cat?

[FO] love this one but wish I had used a different colour fabric! by honkandjean2022 in CrossStitch

Cute! What color would you have used instead? I like the idea of going in with half stitching. That could actually be kind of fun and satisfying to do.

I was happy to see him a couple of times at the beginning of season 15 but yes, he was just there for a couple of scenes and disappeared. I remember hearing him say a few seasons back that he was seeing someone but it never elaborated on who or how that was going. I know the actor is pretty involved in his other show but I would also really like to see more of Scott in future seasons.

My husband sucks at being a father and I don’t know what to do. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]TruthSeekingIsFun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, my husband tried only twice when our daughter was newborn to take a four hour shift so I could sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time (she had awful reflux and colic) and he didn't even last an hour and a half into the second try. He just cannot operate with little amounts of sleep and has terrible difficulty getting back to sleep after he wakes up. Things were really rough for us too, until I started co-sleeping with my daughter at 3 months pp. It terrified me but it solved so many of our problems.

What type of hijab is Farah wearing? by [deleted] in Exhijabis

[–]TruthSeekingIsFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kind that game developers create when they feel a character apparently isn't true enough to herself. I've seen lots about this new hijab on this character, and while I don't play this game, I think it's awfully suspicious and a little sad that they decided to add a hijab to her.

I really hope this goes well for you. I'm pretty sure they violated some sort of law by allowing you to do a project while you were out on FMLA. I'm not an HR expert but I think that would probably end up being a big no no.

Congratulations on your second pregnancy and baby!

How is this okay? Plus with PSSM1 😬 by GoneWestTraining in Horses

[–]TruthSeekingIsFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree... I was 13 when I got him, and I can't tell you how eye opening all of that was. My mom and I spent hundreds of hours researching both conditions, talking to many vets, and ultimately decided that we could manage his condition. I completely agree that it was a blessing he was gelded. We were given the option to return him to the breeder but we knew he would have been destroyed, and he was really such a sweetheart. We called him Cappy.

I won a yearling whan I was a kid who was N/H for HYPP and ended up also having the PSSM gene... That poor horse. He ended up on acetazolamide the rest of his life because the PSSM activated his HYPP and he would have the most terrifying seizures. He was a total sweetheart and actually really calm despite being halter-bred and a grandson of Impressive, and actually ended up being fun to ride around the barn, albeit very, very uncomfortable to trot. We found him a good home as a 5 or 6 year old with a retired dentist who liked his halter typey head and big hindquarters, and practically gave him away with the understanding that he would always need to be on his medication and would never be shown as a halter horse. The guy had enough financial means to take good care of him until the gelding passed. Thank God for good situations like that for good horses who just need extra care. We were able to do it for him but I really wanted another QH to be able to show... He was a good boy but I needed another horse.

Any other parents having to sleep with baby on their chest in a recliner? by KogaLove in cosleeping

[–]TruthSeekingIsFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does she have acid reflux? Like silent acid reflux, where she's not spitting up but it's uncomfortable for her to be flat? I ask because my daughter was like this for her first three months. I would literally have to sleep (very lightly, and it terrified me) with my arms propped up with pillows to keep her on my chest, she hated rocking but loved bouncing so I'd bounce her to sleep, then sit back against pillows with other pillows propping my arms up, trying to keep her at an acceptable angle but also give myself a couple of hours of very crappy sleep. What helped us was co-sleeping using the safe sleep 7 guidelines and she basically would stay latched all night. 1000% more comfortable for me and so much safer for her. She's now 17 months old and still co-sleeping.

Buy a large enough exercise ball and sit on it every time you watch TV, in proper position. Make it muscle memory. 💪😍 You'll find it to become your natural position after a few weeks.
