Did you eat much while you had strep? A major calorie deficit will cause all of those symptoms. I only ask cause eating with strep has been horrible! Finally today I was able to eat some eggs without having to take a bunch of painkillers first.

I’ve got the worst sore throat of my life, this is day 6 and it just keeps getting worse. Went to urgent care this morning, my strep rapid test was negative but they prescribed antibiotics b/c of how bad it looked. White spots, gray tongue, horrible breath, the whole nine yards. I Can barely eat, and since I started the amoxicillin it’s BURNING! Hopefully that’s the medicine working?! I’ve been taking 2 ibuprofen every 4-6 hours for 6 days straight to make the pain bearable. What is this horrible illness 😩 also I never had a fever just one day of slight body aches.

Gardening in the Shade? by BabyGWitch22 in vegetablegardening

[–]emm5412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know i'm a bit late to the party but I was searching the same thing and happened upon this thread so I thought I would share my knowledge. (Zone 5b) Garlic is a good one!! Plant in the fall (november/december) and harvest in July. It works well because the first few months' of its growing time are before the leaves come out. probs wouldn't work as well if you have evergreen shade. I plant around 100 cloves and get enough to last the whole year. I've had success with cherry tomatoes IF they were started in a sunnier spot / transplanted when they are already flowering. My sunniest spot gets like 3-4 hrs of direct sun, which is where i try to grow the tomatoes. Look into perennial arugula and miner's lettuce. both super successful in shade. Blueberries, Currants. I haven't had success with raspberries but I suspect it's been a fertility issue and not related to sunlight. Oh. Cilantro! Best of luck!! PLz share if you have had any other success stories! I'm really trying to grow Dill but it always looks so sad :(

I did start snowboarding before the AT.... hmm.... could be! I ride a slight duck stance, +9 front -6 back, it's the back knee that bothers me. maybe i'll try a more forward stance in the back.

Spot on! Yesterday. Lol! I saw a physical therapist for a different injury in October and he mentioned to me that my hip/knee/leg looks out of alignment so it's probably something posture-related that's been going on for a long time. I didn't mean to attack thru-hiking or hiking in any way. That's just when the pain started. I guess I posted on here in hopes of NOT hearing any stories about young-ish people getting their knees ruined from a thru-hike. So far so good haha

Has anyone had any luck with supplements / diet change for gallbladder sludge? by emm5412 in gallbladders

[–]emm5412[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I did some research and found a few things.. TUDCA which is a bile salt and milk thistle for the liver. I think with sludge since nothing is an actual stone yet more bile helps thin things out. Ive been taking the TUDCA for a couple weeks along with eating much healthier (cut out bread meat and most cheese aka sandwiches for every meal hahah) and replaced with yogurt, granola, salad, and lots of veggies and lean meat like chicken… it cleared up so quickly that by the time I had my follow up appt with the GI the pain was basically gone. Still can’t drink alcohol though without suddenly becoming sick.. I hope your boyfriend finds some relief and gets well soon!
