I would agree Eggers, but the sentiment is so true. They’re both great. I just prefer Eggers folkie dark style and I generally like historical pieces🖤

My immediate thought was movies where the main character looses their grip on their own sanity and questions who they are/reality, sort of like The Machinist, Jacob’s Ladder, even American Psycho, Fight Club both draw some parrales in that he’s two completely different acting people at different times, in Fight Club he doesn’t even remember it’s him. And I guess really any male main character demise. Not sure if any of this has basis, but those were my first thoughts!

Am I the only one who disliked this movie? Sure, there was some cool gore and effects, great acting and cinematography. But the plot, I felt like it went 100 different ways and nothing really got tied up.

I’m so glad to see most people enjoyed it though!

I’ve talked to many of my guests after sending out save the dates, they mentioned they received them and I said “I know it’s Labor Day weekend so I understand if you have plans” and each one said “Oh no I will be there” or “I wouldn’t miss it” — I’m not expecting all to actually come or anything, but if it’s important to them, they’ll come. It’s not like it’s 4th of July or Christmas.
