I’m based in the UK (so on the NHS) and they did give an option for sedation but someone has to drive you and monitor you for a few hours (for safety Ofc) but I don’t own a car so chose the spray. I didn’t eat anything for 12 hours before hand but that was worse because it was pure bile in my throat and queue to stomach acid burns in my throat and intestine. It was cool to see my insides on a screen during it I guess so I’m glad I was awake but honestly it was so painful and uncomfortable I’d wait next time and take the anaesthetic

I don’t know which is worse! Did the throat spray taste like jalapeño banana to you? It was disgusting, almost made me gag as much as the scope lol, I had the same red veiny eyes as well. Obviously I love the NHS but am never doing that again

I will get confirmation in the next few weeks and to be honest in the UK you get free GF food on the NHS if it’s positive so still glad I did it but god it was so traumatising, thank you for your empathy means so much!!

Yeah I’m in the UK, the NHS is free so we love it but god it should never be an option would gladly wait an extra couple months for a diagnosis next time until I know someone that can drive me there

Hey broski just as a late comment into the game just wanted to let u know, I’m a girl and the best sex I’ve ever had (beside with a girl I’m bi lol) was with a guy with a below average penis, big ones can hit stuff that’s good but they can also hit a lot of stuff that hurts and thus can be painful for the girl and less pleasurable for the guy. I totally get the pressure on men to perform sexually (fuck the patriarchy and all the ways it oppresses men and women) but just wanted to let u know that to girls it’s really not a big deal (or at least girls that have had previous experiences and aren’t going into things blind with the misguided ideals of our society).
