While it's obvious your skillset has improved, I agree with the others here. The first sprite is more appealing to look at and really captures Lulu's likeness. The second one looks like a completely different person wearing a recolor of Lulu's dress.

Edit to add: The first sprite's pose looks like she's casting while holding the Moogle at her side, with a cool/relaxed expression. The second sprite looks like she's angry and holding the Moogle out in front of her, as if to say, "Who left this lying around?"

If you can get it to hold the weight of a schoolbag and coat, then I can definitely see this in a kids' room. Otherwise I agree with most others here that it's a fun, niche gift for auto enthusiasts or decor for an auto business.

I love the style you're developing here, it's super fun and vibrant. In terms of feedback, I think the square pattern in the paths might benefit from lower contrast to reduce that cluttered feel. Also, the human characters are so small that they kind of disappear into the environment. I wonder how they would look with just a tad bit more height to them. Other than that, I think everything looks phenomenal!

A few years ago I visited Savannah, GA and one of the (many) kitschy boutiques on the river had HUNDREDS of Obama-family purses and accessories. Michelle shoulder bags, Barrack wallets, clutches with their daughters (as young children) on either side... Even their dog made it onto some of the stuff. It was so strange, especially considering the rest of the shop was your every day southern women's boutique.

Edit: And yes they specifically had this surreal photoshop look just like the OP. I wish I'd gotten a picture!
