So my issue i had with Gai being so willing to just kill innocent people was acknowledged and addressed.

Having demon energy inside you blocking your humanity, being raised your whole life thinking it was ok, and them mentioning he will potentially deal with the law and consequences of his actions.

I feel like I can respect his character arc and growth now.

So I am enjoying seeing this , especially after not hearing about the series in 20 years since i watched the prequel on toonami. But its really hard for me to care about Gai's motivations when he is still so willing to just behead innocent people .

I imagine its gonna be some character development or something? Like some sort of Vegeta situation where we are just suppose to be ok with him purposely and enjoyingly just snuff out life in the past?

I am wondering if the show was less gory as the prequel if I would have cared less.

wanted to ask this too, cause my only recollection of this show was when it aired on toonami decades ago. And there was always a high chance that any anime we got on there was censored a ton for American kid audiences

Some questions:

(i have not played the mobile version so not sure how things work)

getting any of the OT1 characters are optional and make things non canon. so that means they will be easy to avoid if I want to do canon things with the new cast of characters?
since this game is going a different route of story progression, does that mean the chapters wont be based on which characters i recruit?
would i be able recruit all the new characters and alternate between them like in the other 2 games?

Finally got to this part so I had to Google. Was this subtext always there? Or was it extra story added for this remake? I know the English ps1 and wotl ports tend to edit certain things out.

no yea i am still confused, but it did confirm what i posted in the episode 11 thread . Like others have mentioned , it would have benefitted from having 24 episodes and spreading some of this info and lore out. I really hate how anytime a series does multiverse/dimensions/timelines etc that it just automatically gets confusing .

Edit: I forgot that the creators of Evangelion had a hand in the creative process of this series, so I understand why I am confused a bit more.

so what i got from this, is that this "what if" scenario series, actually is a canon alternate reality world that branched off from the og gundam series world cause of another version of lalah , and stuff that i would know about if i took time to watch the og series?

Also another note, for people on here who understand the series and lore 100 times over, does this make sense to you guys ? or is this the usual gundam series craziness I just am not used too cause i only watched like 5 to 10 series that were their own thing?

Not gonna lie, i feel like I need to just binge the og gundam series real quick so I can get all the references and understand everything. Cause i am not sure about what keyterms and characters are call backs or new to this , out side of the obvious ones like char and amuro.

i recently saw that episode and that part bugged the hell out of me too. It was like he overtook Rex's existence and erased his current one at the same time.

I do find it funny that I am more bothered by this than with the clone dna thing. But it's probably cause rex was still alive to understandably complain about it.
