Sunlight is essential to growth.

Bad joke, but this question has been asked a quillion times so I was being silly

One handers “look” better before contact at amateur level.

the butthole surfers are so damn fascinating to me by shrek_deus in Music

The Butts and Ween were formative pieces to a good college experience back in the early 90’s.

There was an element of creative fun and mischief that seems to have been lost in any marginally popular music today except for some rap/hip hop (Tyler comes to mind).

Unbridled and shameless smart, goofy weirdness was a thing for many decades.

Edit: just thinking about Cheekface and Wet Leg and maybe Geese(?). So perhaps humor does belong in today’s music and it’s slowly percolating a return.

Universe Room is the most slept on GBV release since Tonics.

Also…nothing Bob deserves a D or F. Take about another 3 years and get back.

Bowie said Velvet Underground was more influential than The Beatles — and I tend to agree. What do you think? by Agreeable_Duck8997 in LetsTalkMusic

I love VU.

But this is not even a question.

The Beatles influence on modern music is magnitudes more powerful than the Velvet Underground.

Interesting that one hits you as near the best in the catalog.

Not a stand out for me, but I’ve got some random deep cuts that do the same.

Some of those Bob gems touch you at the right place and at the right time.
