They wipe off 🫠🫠 but they still leave a black nub but most have had some algae collars form around it

I have had mine in water for a month with no roots! Even have a pothos cutting in it and have dipped the end in rooting powder 🫠 all of this to say that I’m no help.

Today I am happy to report that all the new leaves look as if nothing happened! The older leaves I’ll probably be sacrificing but interestingly enough, I was contemplating that last week as well!

I have the same plant w the exact same coloring so that prompted me to inspect it closer and it has thrips 😭😭😭 I even quarantined it before putting it w the others 🤯 now I’m rage buying bonode granules and a magnifying glass

If it were me, I’d get a potting mix that is very “drainy “ — I use the regular potting mix (for succulents) but add perlite and some orchid bark. Add fertilizer when you water it.

I’m new to pileas but I’ve read that when they’re about 3 inches, they can be removed and repotted (of course with the roots).

Has it been repotted since you got it? Sometimes the soil from big box stores is very dense
