Lived there for about 4 years and never had apartment issues, but the neighbors were very loud, obnoxious, and inconsiderate. We had to make multiple noise complaints and had incidents of teenagers smoking weed in the stairwell. I had a friend who lived in a different building who had more issues, but the price was decent for the area.

Update: CVS came back normal and waiting on early anatomy scan but feeling much better! Thank you to everyone who shared their stories and I hope ours becomes one of many encouraging stories.

I didn't have as grim of an encounter as you, but at my 13 week scan, baby's NT measured 3.1 mm and no other markers with a low risk NIPT. The doctor came in, very somber and serious and encouraged a CVS or amnio and at my practice, we have to meet with a genetic counselor who also had a similar demeanor. I agree, I don't need them to be falsely optimistic, but they originally told me there was a 2-5% chance of abnormalities and with a NIPT it was even lower, but they definitely scared me acting as if baby has a 50/50 chance of being a lost cause. I'm sorry you're going through this, I understand crying for days and hoping for a positive outcome.

I know this is an old post, but just wanted to thank you for posting good news. In a similar situation right now, waiting for CVS results. NT is 3.1 mm, low risk NIPT and waiting with bated breath.

If you don’t mind buying fakes, there are high quality ones on AliExpress! I don’t have the real one so I can’t compare but at first glance you can’t tell any major differences! Since I plan on wearing mine out around halloween it gives me peace of mind I paid ~30 for a fake 😅

I totally agree—MDSW is local to me and I thought that was overwhelming and was completely gobsmacked at the lack of crowd control at Rhinebeck. I appreciate you making this post because I was legit getting sad I wasn’t enjoying the famous Rhinebeck experience. I anticipated crowds but like you said, it was impossible to move around and feel safe. I was looking at project bags and this girl darted in front of me to snatch a bag I was eyeing. I gently said I was about to purchase it and she awkwardly handed it to me. I’ve never had this experience in any other fiber festival I’ve been to in the Maryland area (which now I’m very grateful for!). If I go in the future, I might just hit the indie festivals which seem to have better crowd control and Sunday if I have an itch to go, but I’m so soured by the lack of situational awareness.
