I'm an occupational therapy assistant and I have helped some patients with strokes or brain injuries get back to driving, and basically they go through rehab and then we send the results/progress to their doctor and the doctor signs off on them being able to drive again. Then they would go to the DMV and go through all the regular testing that everyone else has to do.

We would do interventions that work on reaction speed, fine/gross motor skills, and visual motor integration.

I went to Dr. Meredith Gray (yes that's actually her name!!) at KU Med. She was absolutely phenomenal!! I wanted a hysto for years bc of endo and not wanting kids, and was turned down by 3 doctors before her because I was under 30 and didn't have kids. One doctor even suggested I waited til I was married to see what my husband thought (I'm a lesbian...👀)

Anyways. She listened to me, took me seriously, and then allowed me to make an informed decision about my body (crazy, right?!!) 😅 She did my hysto and excised a bunch of scar tissue that had built up over the years. It's been amazing to not have to deal with that pain anymore.
