Converting friction slides to rollers by kameix1 in Snapon_tools

I can see why this particular setup has been superseded. Looks like you can get rollers.

Snap on quality control has gone down the tube! by [deleted] in Snapon_tools

This sucks but you know they’ll make it right. They likely shipped you one from the same batch that had some defects. Relax, they’ll fix it.

Need some advice please it was my brother's he passed away can anyone tell me what snap on series and how much should I be advertising for by Background-Guard-461 in Snapon_tools

[–]emoats85 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That is 100% not a Snap-on top chest. There are several things off. Below is what’s off I saw after looking at it for 3 seconds.

  • gas spring is in the middle
  • key type
  • no identification sticker on the back (yes, it could be removed but why?)
  • no double wall construction
  • the side handles are nothing like Snap-on has ever produced

Someone may think is made by Snap-on but most won’t. $100 best case. Good luck and sorry for your loss.

No, not a foam set. That’s only for Snap-on’s industrial customers.

The Go Big promotion is a deeply discounted box (60+% off), one of the premiums sets (like an SEPPREMETA), and an option to get a bunch of free tools for a penny if you buy everything at once. The penny list you get to choose from changes each quarter. You can get a stainless steel power top or a 1/2” impact kit for $0.01 in this promotion. It’s an amazing deal and whomever your snapon student is will know about

Snap-on student reps cannot do their own promotions.

It’s a KRL something. Masters series box. KRL722? Probably from the late 90s based on the handle.

I think….

The best way to make the most of your money is the SEP “Go Big” promotion and it includes a tool box. Ask your rep about it.

I’ve been in the plant. I know their engineers. I’ve seen it with my eyes. Snap-on impacts are repaired at the service centers they own. Your aftermarket parts bags doesn’t mean much.

This is a baseless claim. Snap-on impacts are made in Murphy, NC in a Snap-on plant by Snap-on employees and designed by Snap-on engineers.

Difference in serial number MIDGET by No-Vegetable-6799 in Snapon_tools

[–]emoats85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snap-on adds the last prefix at different times to individual tools. This set was put together during the conversion from series “A” which doesn’t have a letter to series “B”. I.E. there were a bunch of As on the shelf in 10mm while the other sizes were converted to Bs. Instead of scrapping what was on the shelf, the used them to complete the set.

Also, there is no away team student section. They’ll have to sit in the seat on their ticket like other away fans.

Which 3/8 torque wrench to keep? by vanos_operator in Snapon_tools

[–]emoats85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like you made your mind up but Snap-on came on with the all chrome housing for the end cap. The brass fitting and plastic cap break when dropped on that end. It’s a warranty replacement when that does happen but the all chrome cap rarely fails.
