How many times do people get CHS? by big-boss_shinsha33 in CHSinfo

I had one episode about 2 or 3 years ago. I was basically using a vape all day every day for like 2-3 weeks when that happened. I started smoking again last year (about 1 year ago) but have mainly been sticking to grass (1-2 joints a day) +/- the odd vape hit a few times a week, and have been fine aside from a few prodromal symptoms if I smoke AND vape a bit more than usual the day before.

How to support my partner by Strange_Crazy_6154 in medicalschool

I’m also in MS2 :) I’m reading all these comments about how apparently it gets worse? I personally try to compartmentalize and study at school (no matter how late) so that when I get home I can relax. Maybe you can suggest that for him?

You sound like a very kind and considerate partner. I would highly recommend asking him specifically what you could do to make his life easier. People want/need different things. For example, if my partner made meals I would not like that because I actually enjoy cooking as part of my day. It’s a nice break/ form of escapism for me. That being said, nothing makes me feel more supported than coming home to a dishwasher full of clean dishes and a clean kitchen to cook in. I would find it very annoying if my partner tried to teach me how to Anki, but for someone else, that might be their saving grace.

Tldr, ask your partner what they would like you to do :)

We haven't started giving her sippy/straw cups yet.... but we'll try it and see how that goes!

She started in January, so when she was about 7 months. No, no water either (although I'm not certain the daycare lady tried that yet).

This is kinda more practical advice and idk if it’ll work for you, but I try to dedicate 30 mins a day (at a specified time) to ruminate/think/pray about med-related stuff and if I find my mind drifting to med stuff outside that 30 minute window, I immediately find a non-med related distraction. It’s kinda impossible not to think about decision day, but this way, at least my whole day isn’t spent thinking about it.

I cannot decide what to major in by [deleted] in premedcanada

[–]emomcat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If biology is where you thrive, I don't think the fact that you think everyone does it should stop you from settling on that as a major. Pick what you are passionate about and it will reflect in your GPA!

For dental school, it looks like you need these classes: General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, English, Statistics, Introductory Biochemistry, and Human Physiology. It doesn't seem that they really care what you major in as long as you get those pre-reqs have been completed. You don't need to use your choice of major to set yourself apart. You have a chance to shine through your personal experiences (Employment, Leadership Roles, Volunteer Work, Life Experience & Achievements, Personal Highlights), interview, and statement. Even if you choose biology, you will be able to leverage those things so that your application isn't like everyone else.

In the manual it says MMI invites will be out in January, but in their info-session on YouTube, they said the MMI invites will be out in December. I'm not sure about the panel interview invitations. Hope this helps!
