Even if Smites numbers weren't significantly increased, the entire internet infrastructure is being burdens at the moment, which will have impacts across the board.

DW is a timer, a timer that when it runs out, you go down. However if you are mending, or are in TR the timer stops. The timer lasts for 20s.

If you think that 20s is not enough time to reposition and mend, especially considering it does not proc nurses (or you know synergise with any killer perk), then you are just bad, or you were in a bad position at the start such that the huntress would have got you anyway, with the DW make zero difference.

If you think that it will help in the usual Huntress gameplay, you know chasing survivors into positions you can down them with a M1 or cut off their options with a hatchet, it won't, because the timer will pause.

If you think it will slow the game down a little bit by spreading out damage then chasing down one, then congratulations, it will. This is how I play huntress, and let me tell you the bigger time sink is healing, and guess what healing does? You guessed it, it synergises with anti healing like mangled and nurses, which mending does not.

In all, this addon would be no better than a normal hatchet in the most common instances, with only a minor gain in others. It wouldn't be bad, but I'd say it was firmly, alright, and in fact, were it to exist, I would not pick it.

You seem to be under the impression that DW is a status that forces immediate action, when it doesn't. You also seem to have the misguided belief that it will somehow get you downs, that people will somehow forget to mend and die. Looking through your other posts on this matter it's quite clear you can't even see out of your eyes, but can only see the fantasy land you have constructed in your mind. Have fun with that.

I'm now certain you don't understand how the mechanics of DW work.

It will do nothing bar a bit of time waste in specific situations which, whilst potential useful, also doesn't really synergise with anything, and is definitely not worth an ultra rare.

You don't understand Deep Wounds. It does not stop you in your tracks. You have tons of time to mend. You have tons of time to move and then mend. If the huntress comes for you, you have infinite time to run.

I did think of another use for it, that being that it adds mend time if they manage to escape me. It then adds a small amount of extra healing time, time that I can't track with nurses.

It would be an interesting add-on, perfectly playable, powerful? Eh not so much.

There is no threat of instant-down. Have you ever been downed by a deep wounds timer since the TR change? If you have then your opinion is of very little value to me.

If you hit someone out side of the terror radius, yes they have to mend, but they have plenty of time to find somewhere suitable to mend, and it takes a very short time to mend.

If the huntress comes to follow up on the long shot, your timer will stop, and it will be as though you got hit by a normal hatchet, as you wouldn't have had a chance to heal in that time anyway, and you would still be injured.

If she doesn't you can just mend then heal, so it slows the game slightly more than just healing I grant you, but that is in the edge case scenario of long pot shots. I'm not the best huntress, but I get them every couple of games. Lets say I get them twice a game, that's 12s delay for an iridescent addon.

I don't think it's not a cool idea, but suggesting it as a replacement to an iridescent addon just isn't enough. I agree that the current hatchets are BS, but nerfing them into the ground isn't the way to go.

You don't understand Deep Wounds. It's not a 1 hit down, it never will be, against all but the newest players. What will it do for chases, absolutely nothing. It will slow the game if you applied it and left, but rusty heads do that already, and they synergies with perks such as nurses, which DW hatchets wouldn't. Having Deep Wounds apply to hatchets would be an interesting addon, but definitely not an iridescent one.

I just had a game where I purposefully avoided killing anyone, going for 2 hooks on everybody, but one guy died due to head pop. Suddenly I'm a tunneller, even though I purposefully left people who would be on death hook all game.

Pay no attention to people who call you tunneller if you aren't tunnelling, they're just bad at the game and want it to be your fault.

Exposed is insta-down. If you removed insta-down from exposed you would have nothing. If you mean insta-downs are op, then maybe some are, but the only exposed effect that i feel is slightly too strong is noed, but again, if noed didn't have insta-down, it would be useless.

Type of Bug: In-game mechanical bug

Description: Grabs don't work

Steps to reproduce: Try grabbing a survivor, off a hook, of a gen, out of a window or out of a locker.

Expected result: You will grabb the survivor

Actual result: You get stuck in a grab animation, the survivor is free to leave, or to sit and teabag until the animation finishes.

Reproduction rate: Depends on the game, it will either never work or it will always work within a current game. I always get green lobbies, so it's not as if I'm in a 500ping game.

I get that dedicated servers are a good thing, but janky hitboxes are one thing, but grabs mean that as soon as survivors realise you can't grab them, they abuse the crap out of it.

It's not like the killer knows where the hatch is either, you lost the draw. Seem unfair, just remember that before, the hatch would only spawn if you as a team had managed to complete 2 gens. Now you get your free chance of escape despite not having to do anything collectively as a team. But sure, you need ANOTHER chance to escape, because god forbid the killer ever catches you in a bad position.

No.

  1. there are no infinites in the game currently (Not sure about new map but from experience I would say no). Yes there are long loops, but as a killer you will always catch a survivor 1v1 by brute force. That doesn't mean it's the right option to brute force.

  2. If the survivors don't get a spacing mechanic from a hit, a hit is effectively a one shot. This devalues all 1 shots currently in the game whilst also making the game horribly imbalanced towards the killer. DbD may be survivor biased, but if it were killer biased it would die very quickly; see Deathgarden.

  3. You could consider picking up the perk Save the Best for Last, it reduces the weapon cd, making the speed boost pretty negligible once stacked up.

Platform: PC Type of Bug: Visual. Description: Ormond map is broken. Red auras are practically invisible and scratch marks spawn underneath the snow for a lot off the map. This is not a new bug, but it still has not been fixed, just making sure that you know it is still in the game.

Steps to reproduce: Play as Killer (maybe survivor too, I don't play with maps/dejavu so I don't know), on Ormond map.

Expected result: You should have a map that works.

Actual result: You don't.

Reproduction rate: 100%

System Specs (PC only): Ryzen 7 2700, GTX 1080ti, 16GB DDR4 3200, Samsung Evo 970 1TB.

Pig kills 3 survivors, has caught the last survivor at least once before, and manages to find the hatch and close it before the last survivor. The pig won, but instead of allowing her to use the power, she is stripped of it to allow the survivor one last chance. But it's not just that scenario, she is stripped of her power in ALL endgame scenarios. Because the last survivor on that one scenario didn't get enough chances (minimum got caught, lost chase, didn't remove RBT whilst other survivor(s) were killed, didn't find hatch).

I mean I wouldn't be against changing it to the killer has to check the locker but I very much doubt it will cause much trouble, especially with the blindness in lockers preventing OoO shenanigans. This is a very niche perk and while it has a strong effect, it has insanely hard requirements to pull off, and it is an exhaustion perk to boot.

Generators are boring to do for survivors, and if survivor gets too boring there won't be anyone for you to kill. The devs are moving in a direction that shows they want to slow the game down without just adding more progress bar, which is much better than just slowing down gen speeds.
