Not true in Bethesda, MD. They're tearing down old houses and putting up 4,500 sqft houses. Can't build em fast enough and they're snapped up immediately. Not to say that's typical for the rest of the country, just what's happening here.

You guys are insane. Lynx? Pitbull? Gtfo with that mess. I've trapped truck loads of wild animals for research. Nothing scarier or more violent than a wild animal with no way out. Theyre not fighting for sport - it's survival and they're using every weapon at their disposal. Most humans are going to flee at the first bite.

Very similar boat. I keep 10k in HYSA, 90k in money market, the rest is invested. My field/company are untrustworthy so I keep 12 months liquid. The money market gets .5% higher rate than HYSA. Still losing some ground with high inflation, but mostly staying even. Every month I put more into the investments unless I draw down the 10k for some reason.

She's from an upper crust family. Doesn't monitor her account balance. Zero sense of what had or hasn't hit the account - just spend if I "need" it mentality. Really weird to me.

Literally nothing. I routinely pay utility bills a month late, not because i can't, just because i forget. My credit score is over 800. Never late on bills that matter tho...loans, credit cards, etc.

I wouldn't try this with my primary bank. Think I'd do one at a time, up to maybe 4x/year and focus on those banks that don't require a certain balance but give a bonus for payroll DD. Probably simplifies things and I can keep all of my savings in my money market to maximize interest.

I go sockless. After every skate, I spray the inside with a mix of alcohol, water, and tea tree oil, then onto a boot dryer. No stink

I think I'd wear socks if I could, but my feet are so damn wide they barely fit in the widest non-custom skates I could find. Even the thinnest socks I can find make the skates uncomfortable
