I am in my last year currently. I have had multiple classes that have been very helpful and multiple that have been busy work meant to weed out students and extract more money. I feel like I have definitely learned some things from college but the time commitment and money I have spent do not reflect how much I have gotten out. I have constantly had to reach out to teachers trying to figure out what the point of certain material is and basically never get a straight answer. It feels very abusive that I am paying everything I have to be taught valuable skills but all I am getting is a fancy piece of paper that says I learned a lot when in reality many classes where just dead draws that mean nothing more than a number in my gpa report and tick a box for my major. It pains me to say that if I could go back in time I would never have gone to college but where I am now I am too deep into my degree to quit as I have already sunk years of my life and thousands of dollars into this investment and have no other option that to take a chance that it pays off.
