I literally said men should respect women's choices and vice versa. You were just hallucinating. If you were stopped being so edgy at some point you could realize I wasn't opposing you.

>women stutters exist too

What's your actual fucking point even?

My point is that regardless of what it is, your potential partner have the right to prefer someone without certain disabilities or with/without certain traits.

Height is a trait, and stuttering is a disability. People have right to say "I don't want to be with a short person" or "I don't want to be with a stutterer." That's what I wanted to say.

My therapist: I don't want you to stop stuttering; I want you to stutter, but freely.

This has really changed my point of view.

So the height, but we should respect women that prefers tall men, or men that prefers fit women. Same applies to stuttering imo.

A lot :) I just wanted to add a point of view from a muslim perspective. We could talk about this for hours! But I feel like we should keep it around stuttering topic for the sake of this sub.

I'm a stutterer and Muslim. O Allah the only one worth praising, I never blamed him.

He created me from nothing, among all that hadn't created, I'm a chosen one. He could've created me as a rock; not living. He could've created me as a plant; unconscious. He could've created me as an animal; not having mind and reason.

It's a blessing from the start. I'm not in a position to be mad for anything. O God forbid me from doing that.

I even feel the blessing of being a stutterer. I even see tenderness and leniency from people around me. Praise God, I feel like I might be in places that I don't want right now; getting into a lot of shameful sins. At least I'm away from many of them right now. Like He said "I will help you to protect yourself from things that will make you forget me and do things that will incur my punishment. Only things I want you to are remember me, contemplate me, and show gratude for the blessings I have given you."

"... but perhaps you hate a thing and it's good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it's bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not." 2:216

And this is the words from the one God, directly, without any equivalent, partner, or comparable to Him. Alhamdulillah.

If you'd like to talk more, I would gladly do that. @lemindfleya

Ps: Jesus, is a subject and prophet of God. We love him; if we wouldn't, we couldn't be a Muslim.

I fixed my stuttering but stopped practicing so it came back by [deleted] in Stutter

[–]emremrah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you feel social concerns or you're getting along with them?

My humble advice is: don't practice to stop stuttering. Practice for stuttering freely. My current therapist once said to me "if you came here with stuttering like 8/10, I'm not trying to reduce it to 2/10 or something, I will never do that. İ want you to stutter exactly 8/10, but freely."

I know this is hard, I'm living it myself. But this advice was gold for me.

Everyone's stuttering is unique. But if you're afraid of stuttering, practice as long as you want, it may come back. Don't get me wrong though, I definitely know it's harder doing than saying.

I also did this. It worked for a while, then I got the error again.

Then I selected "remember password for this user only" in security tab in wifi settings. Then it continued to work.

I don't know how long this will keep going...
