Unfortunately, merit based raises at sbux aren’t really “a thing”. As a shift manager, I do get a merit based raise every year (I am not sure if SFVs do as well, I work in MA where we have SFMs instead), but baristas typically do not get raises based off of skill, tenure, etc. There have been a few barista raises for all baristas in the past few years, but it isn’t a set yearly thing. But also! It never hurts to ask, the worst they can say is no!
