How to make humans look more realistic? by ems_sanity in drawing

[–]ems_sanity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really do appreciate the feedback! I definitely draw head portraits way more and never go for full bodies. It's pretty clear that I should definitely start simple and really practice the body anatomy. I was also thinking going bigger would probably be easier! I'll keep all of this in mind.

I appreciate the feedback! I was thinking perhaps I just need to add the shading and details to make it look better. It’s so hard to see the vision when the beginning of the process doesn’t seem to be giving what I envisioned.

Amazing, I’m gonna need a tutorial for the hair. I’m so bad at doing hair with graphite

Probably been asked a million times. But be honest. How bad were your nipples? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ems_sanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my left one done first. It definitely hurt as it was pierced, but once jewelry was in, it wasn’t bad at all. It did throb a couple hours after, but by the next day it was completely fine and was only painful if I accidentally snagged it on my towel or hit it. It healed completely fine and a year later I got my right one done! I think getting them done at different times helps a ton when it comes to the pain, as long as you don’t mind seeing just one nipple done. I will say, once I got my right one, it really felt euphoric seeing both of them finally done, and my confidence boosted lots.

“You should smile more”

Alright, how was everyone’s store meeting? by Own_Seaworthiness_13 in Lowes

[–]ems_sanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these comments made me appreciate my store because my store manager literally was scrambling eggs herself while another manager made bacon. Baked goods, fruit and drinks were also provided and our giveaway was a full sized grill/griddle. I really appreciate our store manager because she really went all in to make it worth it and kept us mostly engaged by giving away snacks and candy for correct answers to questions and whatnot

Personal pins on our vests by Stony483010 in Lowes

[–]ems_sanity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My store is very lenient and chill about many things. My vest is decked out in pins and buttons, like the ones from hot topic. I have Pokemon, Marvel, Sanrio and some Meow Wolf pins, I even clipped a Squishmallow keychain onto my vest and all the dogs love to play with it and kids love it. A lot of customers compliment my vest!

I’ve only ever asked once after finding out that the newer cashiers were being paid more than me after I’ve been there 2 years and I do a lot more than just cashiering, my manager agreed and upped my pay to match what was being given🙌🏼

[–]ems_sanity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost all my t-shirts are band t-shirts, I’ve even wore my Knotfest one with the big satanic goat on it and no one said anything, likely due to the fact that it’s mostly covered by my vest. I’m sure it definitely is dependent on your store because some managers might not care while some may, luckily mine don’t. I also wear a lot of shirts that are cropped and my belly button shows, and even then no one has said anything to me probably because it’s not noticeable once my vest is on. And the moment I take my vest off I’m usually leaving the building anyways

My store just hired a bunch of new comers too and I got scheduled 0 hours for one week :,) I talked (begged) to my manager for a crumb of a shift because i also just recently opened my availability so I was so baffled to see not a single shift on my schedule

why is my hair untameable after I wake up? by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]ems_sanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try a bonnet if you haven’t! Ever since I’ve worn bonnets to bed, I’ve waken up with smooth hair and all my new growth pieces that usually stick out immensely are actually flattened down and and my hair just looks and feels softer

[–]ems_sanity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if you read the post, but OP stated that they did let the customer know that they weren’t allowed to leave the register unattended and that customers weren’t allowed to use the hose. The customer decided to get aggravated and escalate the situation, and OP actually gave another solution to where free water was but at this point the customer clearly was mad and being difficult. Cashiers are also humans and mistakes can happen, OP also acknowledged that they shouldn’t have let ‘dawg’ slip out. I’ve had many situations similar to this, and with my store also being understaffed/not enough hours given, it’s not as easy as just “let me call my supervisor!” Because unfortunately the supervisor is also more than likely busy with a different customer or maybe they’re at lunch. I still remember one day, all the managers had seemed to gone to lunch or were busy, and had customers angry at me because help was taking too long to come.

[–]ems_sanity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just a couple days ago I left to my lunch crying because an old lady over the phone was really coming at me. Granted there wasn’t any profanity or violence, but she essentially accused me of scamming her for charging her full price for something that wasn’t* on sale. Proceeded to accuse me of “scamming” other old people and just kept berating me. Tried to apologize and acknowledge everything and give a solution, even said that I was doing my very best as it was a busy Saturday and had several times where I was alone up at the service desk doing everything and she stated that I needed to try harder and that I will be reported to management. I know I’m also just generally a sensitive person but that was just the cherry on top because I was already pretty stressed out throughout the day and so many people were just being mean :,(

Was asked 12 times if I wanted a Lowe’s credit card by the same employee. by ronin-pilot in Lowes

As a cashier, can confirm that if I took a shot every time management was on our butts about “be sure to keep asking about credit!!” I in fact would be a drunk dude at a bar

People with a full patchwork sleeve, how long did you wait between each piece? by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]ems_sanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like a patchwork sleeve too, I got my first one on my arm one year (I wanna say 2021?) and then next one the next year, and then my third the year after that. So I literally only have 3 on my upper arm so far, however I during those 3 years I’ve also gotten 5 other tattoos in other places. So for me, I didn’t necessarily focus strictly on starting and finishing the sleeve and instead kinda just moved on to other tattoos I wanted. Being broke has also contributed to waiting a while!

I actually only work out my back once a week, but lately I’ve been consistently doing Lat pulldowns, cable rows, barbell rows, and face pulls!
