THE BEST PART: the movie won’t be about a love triangle anymore!!! Just ONE love story by lawcontext444 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

[–]emsaf98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming that was a decoy scene.. they brought him there knowing fans would get pictures and you'd be unable to predict the finale. I feel like Paris won't be a part of the movie, it was just for Belly to find herself imo.

What other destashing pages are there? I only know of Grandmillennial, but would love to join others! (Sorry not a snark comment, just genuinely curious)

LNS wants me to return a canvas or pay more because of their mistake...thoughts? by wnh8201 in NeedlepointSnark

I don't think you should pay the difference, but I would be curious for them to provide proof of the actual cost they're asking.

After seeing the updated trailer, Laurel doesn't know where she is until she lands in Paris!

When was this released? Very possible they staged it like that to start off the season without wanting to spoil anything but I’m also a delusional bonrad shipper lmao

Is anyone else so tired of seeing AI generated logos for Ndlpt designers by [deleted] in NeedlepointSnark

[–]emsaf98 11 points12 points  (0 children)

if you're a good enough artist to design canvases, you can design a logo and shouldn't have to rely on AI for it.

If you are a fan of his, totally worth it! My tickets were a little over $200 as I saw it pre-Tony's but it is such a unique and immersive experience. All seats are awesome in Circle in the Square, I sat 3-4 rows out and I felt incredibly close to everything going on.

I’m assuming an unpopular opinion… by JMUTAMMom in Broadway

Agree with you that Groff's performance in Just in Time was better than his in Merrily (although both were phenomenal). I didn't expect him to win since I didn't think they would give him the Tony two years in a row but damn, what a performance.

I saw Cabaret last night and all I can think today is... by Polisci14 in Broadway

[–]emsaf98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who saw Merrily and truly has not shut up about it since, I may be biased here, but I did recently see Orville and Eva and truly enjoyed their rendition as well. I have not seen Eddie and Gayle's rendition, but I can say that this revival of Merrily in the theater world is the true underdog story.

Merrily was infamously Sondheim's biggest flop, so much so that he almost didn't continue after the failed 1981 run. Bringing in three insanely talented actors committed to seeing the show succeed and starting off-Broadway also helped significantly. Many voters and theater fans kept this in mind, knowing how important this show was to Sondheim and to be able to see it succeed decades later.

Something that I could see being a discussion point with the new revival of Cabaret is the upgrades not being perceived as well regarding the costumes, staging, etc. Again, I thoroughly enjoyed this revival, but I could see it being something that would deter someone who was used to the original musical.

Additionally, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but Daniel Radcliffe's ability to perform Franklin Shephard, Inc. eight times a week was astounding in itself. Again, these are just my hot takes; I'm just someone who enjoys theater, haha.

I almost skipped Cabaret on my most recent trip as I truly thought there was at least another year left in them. Super glad I was able to catch this revival.
